Its a mix. We both pick stuff out thru out the week. Dh will call to see if I need anything and I do the same. We used to go together and do ONE big shopping trip for the week. We wasted alot of food doing it that way...so we stopped doing that.
we may be insane - but we both enjoy food shopping together...we have a good time of it!
I usually go alone. When I go with DH it takes forever because he stops to look at everything and has to compare everything. I've been food shopping a lot longer than him, so I know what we need and what's a better buy. Plus I don't let myself get distracted by impulse buys like him. The only good thing about going with him is I have someone to push the cart and to help with carrying the bags into the house.
me alone, I'm off work on Mondays and Tuesday so I do it one of those days. Plus when we go together he ends up adding unhealthy stuff to the cart like ice cream and soda which I'd rather leave out.
