I'm curious how you & your hubby handle food shopping.

Sometimes we go together, but I always spend more $$ when DH comes with me.

I actually go with my mom a lot. We'll both go and do our food shopping together. it's great because she always scopes out the ads for me first and decides where has the best sales, what's a good buy and other mom expertise...this is actually my favorite way!!

This is my favorite too! I am going to go back to this because she will tell me exactly what to buy and it is so much easier!

Also, DH buys the STUPIDEST stuff and then I end up eating it. We went BIG shopping about three weeks ago he bought:
Nacho Cheese Doritos
Cool Ranch Doritos
Stella Doro cookies
crackers
and

CHEESE IN A CAN!!!!!!

So after all this time he decides he wants to eat all of that stuff and OF COURSE it is gone bc I ATE IT!!!! ARGH!

Most of the time we go together. I dont know why he goes he hates going. Sometimes I try and go without him.

95% of the time we go together. he's very picky about how he likes his coldcuts cut, and he has to get his 'breakfast treats' so we always go together. on the rare occassions i go alone, i def spend less, and buy healthier foods.

always go together. DH hates when I go by myself, he'd rather i wait till he gets home from work so we can pick stuff out and unload the car together

I usually do it with my parents on Sunday's after church. If I go with DH, my bill somehow doubles LOL

I normally do it myself. Sometimes DH picks up necessary items and sometimes he'll go with me if it's a quick trip and we are on our way somewhere else...but the majority I do myself. I refuse to go to the store during the weekend and my job allows me to go during the day while he is working so it's better. Plus i can't have like cookies and stuff and wen DH goes he picks up all this random stuff we really don't need..lol

Sometimes I just go and somtimes we both go together. That is one thing that DH actually likes to do because it is food related. He is not allowed to go alone (it is very hard for him to find certain products) and he never gets the right items.

I voted both of us together which is 90% of the time. I sometimes go by myself and he sometimes goes by himself, but only for a few small things. The big shopping is done by both of us.

I guess I'm the only one that chose hubby alone

I HATE food shopping and he knows this so he goes. If I have to pick up one or two things I occassionally go but not often.

We usually always go together. We got at night after the gym. Every once in awhile we will go separate but its usually just to pick up something little.

By the way...we have split duties. DH gets the dinner stuff (meats, veggies, etc)

I get all the stuff I need for the week! Like breakfast, salads, snacks, etc! LOL! We usually start off together and then split up half way through.

Usually we go together but sometimes I go alone. I make a menu every week (thanks for that idea guys!!!) and sometimes I prefer to go alone bec. it goes faster

i go by myself
someone absolutely HATES foodshopping and just can not go.
and when he does go, he is like a child.. he nags me to hurry up so we can leave already...

Usually me alone but DH comes occasionally. I like it when he does, we divide and conquer and get out of there faster.

He likes to go himself while Im at work. The only thing is that sometimes I'll giver him a like of 10 things and he calls me 4 times to aske questions about the list But at least I dont' have to go, right.

Before our kitchen fire, we went together for big ventures, like BJ or Costco, DH does little shoppings out by us, and I go to grocery stores with my mother when I visit (groceries are expensive by us)

So I would say a little of everything. Although we both did seperate BJ/Coscto runs in the same week!

We are doing a big food shopping tomorrow together and then we will likely do what we usually do. When we move to FL, I will probably do the shopping at first since DH will be working and I am studying for the Bar exam.
