Ok this may seem like a dumb question BUT when you changed your license did they take your old one back? I want to go on Wednesday since we are getting out of work early, but I am flying to Atlanta the week after and the ticket is booked in my maiden name. So I need my current license to board the plane!

yes they took mine. I wanted to keep it but couldnt because they always give DH a hard time with his NY license when we are in Maine visitng my family. And the picture was good LOL. Now I hate my photo!!! ugh!

nope they didn't and thank God she did because my car got towed the next day and for me to get it back, i had show my license with my 'real'name..

They did not take my old license. I still have my old one. I had the same problem when changing my name, I was giong on a business trip and it was booked under my maiden name. they let me keep my old one.

Thanks Ladies. I am going to do all of these fun things on Wednesday. I figure if worse comes to worse and they take it I will just have to travel with my passport and change that after.

they let me keep mine and gave me a piece of paper that was my new temporary license. You can ask them if you can use that to board a plane.

They did not take my old license.
I carry both with me. When I got checks after I got married, some of them were made out to my maiden name. When I went to the bank, I showed them both driver licenses
