Gamer DHs

This is hysterical!!!!
How do you girls deal with this all the time?

DH just got XBOX live and the headset today and i am sitting here hysterically laughing bc he is chatting with people playing NHL08!

Yes, the man who doesnt understand why I would want to talk to STRANGERS about weddings and beyond is chatting with STRANGERS about the stupid game. Why can't he see the irony?

LOL but its so funny to listen to ESPECIALLY since it took so long for someone to talk to him he got all excited.

I am sure this will get old soon but i am hysterical.

I know what you mean! I always laugh when I see DH sitting there with his headset on. And hearing the voices of all the other players gets annoying really quick.
The worst for me is that we work opposite hours, so I always get woken up when he comes home from work and I hear him playing and talking on his headset.

DH does that with Call of Duty and now GTA4 . He's always cursing someone out and laughing....

Do you have any idea how many times I think DH is talking to me and I have NO clue what he is talking about...then I figure out he isnt talking to me anyway

Oh, and I forgot to add, that just hope that your DH doesn't get addicted to 'achievement points'. I think that's what their called. I'm not completely sure how it works, but I think that the more you play a game, the more points you get, and then your points get posted and can be viewed by other players. So DH is always trying to get his score up. Sometimes he'll be so proud of himself for getting a certain amount of points, but it doesnt' even bother him that it took him hours and hours of playing to do that. I don't really get it, because it's not like the points are good for anything. I always joke with him that if he would even put half that amount of dedication into his real life, think how successful he would be!

OMG, DH is addicted to NHL 08 Live. If he can't play live, he wont' play at all!! So far though, he'll only use the headset when he's playing his brother or friends. But I love it when the other person has on their headset, and they kick DH's a$$, only to find out it's like some 9 year old kid

I pointed out to DH that he probably got beat by a GIRL the other day. She didn't talk about her user name was written like tHiS and it has XxX before and after it

it runs the spectrum. right now he's playing the new MLB. but online, Halo3, Rainbow6, and Call of Duty. when he gets a game, he will play it through against the computer (not on Live) a few times and beat it, then he'll go on Live and play against his faming community friends. whenever he gets a new game, I say to him 'yep, I get to be a widow for the next week or so, huh?'
