when you first start a job? This happen to anyone?I really, really do not want to be an older mom and would like to have at least 1 before I am 30. I will be gone from my current job the end of the summer, so around the time I had thought we could start trying I will hopefully be starting a new job (fingers crossed). Will most employers let you go if you start a job then announce hey I'm pregnant with just starting or only being there a few months? Can you not get maternity leave then? Between the 2, say staying at a new job for at least a year before we start trying or choosin to get pregos, I would choose having a baby

I'm pretty sure that to have your job protected under FMLA, you need to be in your current position for at least a year. That's how it is where I work - not sure if that's just their rule or the FMLA rule.

FMLA is just about time off
to OP they can't fire you just cause you are pregnant if thats what you are asking....they may not give you the time off the same as someone who has been there for years
