How we met: he started talking to me in AOL chatroom and we discovered that:
a) his brother is married to my college classmate
b) we live 6 blocks away from each other

After we went out the first time we descovered that:
c) He once went out with my sister (6 years ago) and even though they didn't click the remained friends for a long while and he actually once came over to our old appartment and saw me as i was leaving for a date! ( i remembered it once he told me)
d) i was a ***** to him that day and barely said 'hello' ( I DON'T remember that part, but it's possible cause i think I was running late)
e) my sister and him have a whole lot of friends in common

the rest is history!

We currently live: In Rego Park, Queens where we are renting an appartment

We will not try TTC till next year, even though DH wanted to start right after the wedding.

I don't follow any sport, he follows most of it. Our favorite food is sushi. We have no pets.

I don't know much about the private practices in LI. I'm sure there must be more all women groups. I work at Westchester Medical Center so I mostly know the groups in that area. I'd be happy to answer basic questions on the parenting board, I just couldn't answer anything specific. I wouldn't feel comfotable without knowing more history.

Oh, I'm a Mets fan too. I was born in Flushing, I couldn't be anything else.

Honeymoon - 7 Night Cruise on Grand Princess to the Western Caribbean.. the absolutely most amazing trip I could have ever imagined! We had SO much fun!!!

Pets: Sadly no... I had a dog from age 7 who we had to put to sleep over a year ago... it's still so hard to think about him without getting upset..

Hobbies: Just hanging out together!! How sad is that?! We love hanging out with our friends, going shopping, going out to dinner... basically we always seem to enjoy spending time together as corny as that sounds!!

I think I have a mixed marriage too- my DH is a Republican and I am a Democrat We always hope that the other forgets to vote on election days or else we just end up cancelling each other out. Does that count???

Meg 09/20/03: What HS did you go to? I went to Ward Melville. And I thought it was funny b/c we both grew up in Three Village, both got married in Sept. (one year earlier for us), and both work in pharmaceutical business. Just thought -- what a coincidence.


Yabbobay: You are the only other person I have heard talk about the Canary Islands. We do hope to get there one day! I would also love to go to the Greek Isles as well. So many places, so little time!


kmc: Yes, we LOVED Newport. We saw the Cliffside Inn -- so pretty!! We toured the mansions, did the Cliff Walk, so many things! We love it and want to go back. It was last minute so we wound up staying across from the beach at The Newport Inn. It was nice -- no honeymoon suite or anything but it didn't matter.
