Girl's weekend

I just got back from a girl's weekend in Newport. I've been there many times before and still love it just as much each time. I left on Thursday and came back Sunday night.
If you have not planned something like this with your girlfriends I highly recommend it. We had a great time together and loved the quality girl time. My husband also does a boy's weekend every year too, except they go all over the US ( South Beach, Vegas, etc.)
The amount of time apart was just the right amount, I'm not sure if I would ever go away for more than a week. When I got back from the trip, my husband was all mushy about how much he missed me.
Just thought I would share just in case you're thinking of a girl's weekend.

Re: Girl's weekend

Sound awesome Heather, I am planning one in my homes for the 6th of Sept, we do it at alternating homes. Everyone also brings a dish.

My GF one of my Bm had one in her home, where for a small fee they got a massage therapist and a manicurist to come in and also a person to do facials. I think that the minimum service pp had to be like $45, but I think it was so worth it.

I might have one of those when the kids are back in school. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Girl's weekend

Shamma,
Do they stay the night? If so, where does your husband go?
That sounds like fun too, and b/c you're not paying for a hotel you can do it more often! We usually have a get together/ sleep over in NYC once or twice a year, but this was our first away trip together.

Re: Girl's weekend

We do this every year---and I leave tomorrow
We go to a friends parents house in PA-- and go white water rafting (there is no white water, just us paddling down the Delaware), watch movies and just hang out and have fun
I highly recommend it to everyone!!!!
