Ok so DH just moved in finally on Valentine's Day. I knew things were gonna be tough since we have never lived together and we both have to get used to things just like anyone else living together for the first time. But all I know it was way toooooooooo hard to sleep with him. I havent lived with another man in 14 yrs and when I slept at DH's place he had a king size bed and we were fine. I have a full size that we are using til my mom moves out and we can get a new bedroom set and a queen size bed. But who knows when that will be. I know one solution to our problem is not to have the dogs sleep with us but thats not the only thing. He snores and he is a bed hog!!!!!!! All the years I have had my bed I always slept on one side of the bed and would wake up with my sheets neat,lol... thats how I have always slept. He on the other hand tosses and turns, hogs the blankets, elbows me in the head and back, snores and says he doesnt . I knew this was gonna be 1 of the biggest things we fight about but, all I want is my sleep back. I got more sleep when my son was a baby, no joke. He also starts talking to me when he comes to bed and I was already sleeping and doesnt stop!!!!!!!!
What can I do til we get a bigger bed????? Please help me

Ear plugs! I sleep with them at night when Brad snores and it really helps me get a good nights sleep! As far as the size of the bed, that is just one of those things you will need to wait it out for the queen or just get used to the full! We had trouble sleeping together at frst and hated it but we got used to it very quickly!
ETA: DH is a covers hog so we buy our blankets one size larger than our bed and have never had a problem since!

Can you get a larger size comforter and top sheet? That might help with the cover hogging.
For the snoring, get yourself some foam earplugs and keep them by your bedside. The snoring issue was a tough one for DH and me at first. The earplugs helped and I finally convinced DH to get a better pillow so his head wasn't so contorted.
Good luck!

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh boyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! This drives me crazy. We have a queen size bed and DH hogs the bed all the time. it's ANNOYINGGG!! I'll be honest, it took me about 3-4 months to get used to sleeping with DH next to me. I can't imagine sharing a full size, I feel your pain. You'll get used to having a bed hog next to you but the snoring....i would try to get him to sleep on his side, whenever DH starts to snore I wake him up, I don't care if he gets mad at me. And as far as the sheets being hogged, maybe you can try a bigger top sheet, like a queen or king size so there is more to share.
Good Luck, I feel your pain

We actually use our own blanket to sleep. I know totally weird right? But it has helped SO much. Also I'm always freezing and DH is always warm so I use the heavy comforter and he uses a thinner blanket. Works for us.

I can completely relate. DH not only snores, but he also talks in his sleep, like complete conversations!
Anyway, ear plugs are a lifesaver, definitely get a good pair. Also, since I am a very light sleeper, I do have a prescription for a light sleeping pill so once in a while I take those.

Where is his King Size bed?
I am a tosser and it does take a little while but you eventually get used to someone being there and that stops. My mom always said my her first week married, with my dad, she woke up with his feet in her face. But he stopped tossing after about a month or two.
For snoring, they have this spray stuff. It seems to work for my father. I found that DH only snores on his back so if he is on his back and snoring I hit him or roll him over.
As for covers, you just have to deal with the messy morning bed.
But I know DH and I had to have a king size bed. We were on a double air mattress on Sat night and we couldn't sleep at all. At the shore I wake up in the wall all the time. We are both bed hogs and make fun of each other for it. So I refused to buy a house that couldn't fit a king size bed in the room and it was the first thing we bought with our wedding money.

The bed sprung a leak... its was a water bed and it had it's final days

Re: Girls I need your advice BIG time!!!!
We had the same issues!! John is 6 ft 5 in and our bed is queen. He is HUGE... and just sleeping with his knees bent takes up more than half the bed. This was my bed that I slept in alone before we lived together. he would also kick and punch me throughout the night as he moved. I have the MOST awful time with him in the bed. I always yelled at him!! I would even try to sleep while hugging a body pillow... that I really just used as a barrier. it took a LONG time.... but he is FINALLY better to sleep with. It can take a lot to get used to. I hope you get that bigger bed soon!! we need a bigger one too... but that wouldn't fit and I love my mattress and bed!!

Re: Girls I need your advice BIG time!!!!
I def agree with the ear plugs… DH doesn’t snore but every little noise used to wake me up. Actually now we always sleep with the fan on so the sound of that helps to drown out other things.
Also we share the comforter, but we each have our own blanket underneath – I have one of those fuzzy blankets and DH just uses a sheet, so that helps with the cover hogging.

I am a bed and cover hog and DH has his own blanket and sometimes sleeps head to toe and he says its better for him. SORRY FROM ANOTHER BED HOGGER , its not our fault!

we use our own blankets too for the most part. it's more comfortable...,so it's not always being pulled off you etc.

Unfortuantely i had to take the lumps until that King Size was delivered! lol Thank goodness i didnt wait too long, i probably would havebrain damage! lol good luck or kick him or yourself to the couch until teh new bed comes.
