Girls, I'm nervous...

I have that procedure today at 6 and I am SO nervous about it! Knowing that I am going to have my head held in a position that will force me to get dizzy... I am so afraid I am going to get sick and then we'll just have to try the whole thing again next week!!!

I know I should not think about getting sick or else it will happen, etc. but it's not easy. DH is coming with me and I am trying to think of things he can talk to me about or do so that I don't dwell on the dizziness feeling. It sounds weird, but I am almost tempted to have him like pinch me and stuff. You know when you have pain somewhere else, it takes your mind off your current pain or discomfort? UCK I don't know what to do. I need to stop thinking about this...

Sorry, I just needed to express my concerns to my fave girls

Don't be nervous, everything will be fine.

Take one of your favorite wedding pictures, and during the proceedure focus on the picture. Remember everything that went on around that picture, what happened before, during and after.

That should help take your mind off of your fear of dizziness.

That is SUCH a good idea!!!!!

I get sick from procedures all the time.
I know this sounds silly, but now I bring some kind of lollipop----the sugar really helps.
(Tootsie Pops work well!)

They are these elastic bands you wear at a certain spot on your wrist. It has this plastic bubble thing on them that's supposed to hit a certain pressure point which supposedly alleviates motion sickness. Honestly, I have gotten sick using them before, but I carry them anyway, just in case!!! They sell them in the same aisle with like Dramamine, etc.
