Girls, I'm sorry but I think we need THIS post...Looking back...

On your wedding day...what was the BEST thing that happened that you WOULDN'T change...

examples: a friend who totally surprised you, a vendor who went over the top, your favorite 'thing' that came out exactly how you wanted....

We gotta stay positive!!!

I'll go first...

That my friends in heaven made sure it didn't rain and I got the photos at the train station I so desperately wanted!

No Rain!

Great idea, Leese!!! I had so many 'best' moments! The food, the flowers, the place....everything was great! The best part was watching our families come together...and having people tell us how proud they were of us and that they could tell we took a lot of people into consideration when planning, not just ourselves.

I am also thankful to wake up to nice skin that wasn't zitted, hived, or blotchy. Ah....small blessings!

Edit: The weather rocked....for March, that's pretty cool!

I agree with you leese!!!

I think I had many moments, but here are some that truly stick out

1) My flowers: Pedestals & of course Robert, went above & beyond their call of duty! I honestly could not have asked for more beautiful flowers! When I arrived at my parents to see the bok's I was blown away!!!!

2) My Bridal Party: All my girls were truly the best! As I was leaving for church, my MOH saw I had black lint in my armpits from my hoodie. My MOH & BM stood there with paper towels cleaning the lint off! The rest of the girls truly made sure I enjoyed my day!

3) Floral Terrace: Went above & beyond for us & the guests. When our MD Frank, found out I was sick with the stomach flu, he packed my dinner & started to feed me ginger ale!

4) The Weather - Even though I had no control over it, who would have thought it would be sunny & 75!!!! We could not ask for a better day! I was able to get all my pictures outside like I wanted!!!!

I'm completely with you on the weather! After a flood filled rainy October....we were able to enjoy GORGEOUS sunny skies on our wedding day that enabled us to have a warm, bright outdoor ceremony at 11am on October 30th!

Where do I start................

I somehow got a good night's sleep before the wedding and I felt great.

Everyone was smiling, happy and friendly. People who didn't know each other before became friends at my wedding. Oh, and people looked great and dressed for the occasion.

We got tons of 'best wedding I have ever been to' comments. And we also got, 'where did you find this incredible band? (Niteflight).

Having my young niece and nephew there worked out great and it was fun!

The vendors came through and then some.

The maitre d sat us down after the CH and while the guests were entering the reception he fed us! Oh, in the meantime, each guest was escorted to his/her table.

1-The weather! It was high 60's and sunny on my day and it was November!

2-My husband suprised me with a song dedication. (She's Got a Way About Her-Billy Joel). It was one of the many highlights of my night.

3-Being able to get outside pics with sunlight

4-And the overall smooth flow of the day!

of course first and foremost becoming my wonderful man's wife!

My flowers blew me away. Our florist went so far above and beyond it literally took my breath away.

The music for our ceremony and entrance. We went very non-traditional for the most part and the band learned the pieces to perfection.

The weather. We had the most perfect fall day for our wedding.

It rained. It was the best. What was even better was that Rob and I didn't give a cr@p about it, we went on our merry way and took pics outside. It was I think the first time were we felt that there was nothing that could bring us down. And of course, saying our vows!

The Whole Day was Amazing. The best thing about it was that My DH started to cry when he saw me walking down that aisle. Now that i will remember forever.

I speak for both DH and I when I say that the best moment was when our guests were coming up to us to tell us that it was such a beautiful wedding that we put together and how impressed they were that we did this all on our own. (meaning planning and paying for wedding)
We really felt proud that we were able to do it on our own and it was nice to have people acknowledge that. That was byfar the highlight for the both of us.

Yes, I think that I may enjoy hearing things now even more than right after. I was with MIL's friends and they were so enthusastic about the wedding and how great it really was.

One woman said, 'At all weddings, there is one thing that is really special. At your wedding, everything was special!' It was so wonderful to hear!

I'd also add that I am so happy with my favors, the CD's, which are still a big hit. The food was also a crowd favorite. My flowers were also exactly what I wanted.

But my favorite vendor by far was my DJ. My BM even booked him for her wedding without even going to the office, that's how good he was!

Sir Oliver called me a few hours before and asked me if I would like a stretch hummer and 14 person limo instead of 2 12 person limos!!!

CLM threw in an ice sculpture

And EVERYTHING went smoothly!

Oh and Anthony hadnt really helped too much with the planning. As a matter of fact he kind of complained I had made it my second job.. and at one point in the night he said, 'wow.. I can not believe you put this all together yourself!' 'Everything is amazing!'

The weather was really beautiful!

My flowers were amazing! The food was great!! Really everything was awesome!!

I am right there with Maybride519!

I think the MOST amazing part of our wedding was when I heard DH telling all the guests that he could not take credit for much of the planning & that I was responsible for all the little details!!! Our guests were blown away with all the details & truly complimented us on everything. Even though DH was a decision maker, I did all the details & planning on my own!!! It was an amazing feeling knowing we pulled the entire wedding off by paying for it ourselves & also were able to enjoy every moment!!!

So many things:

1. Having my DH put my ring on my finger and being pronounced man and wife.

2. All the wonderful people at Giorgio's and all of my amazing vendors.

3. When my uncle introduced 'Maw's ring to Paw's tie.' (Background: I wear my grandmother's ring as my wedding ring, he was wearing my grandfather's tie so as a piece of him could be there.) It still makes me tear up that he would do that.

4. All of DH's family, including his grandfather who hates to fly (he was shot down in WWII) being there to support us.

5. Hearing 'This was the best wedding I've ever been to'.

6. Just really seeing the love that was in the room!

Wow, there were a lot

1) As I was waiting to walk down the aisle, DH's 90 year old grandfather arrived, they offered to get him down to his seat in a wheelchair, but he waved them off and entered the church himself....considering he was not doing to well about 2 months prior to our wedding, that was a really touching moment for me

2) The weather, it was sunny! I was just hoping for NO RAIN/SNOW in March...

3) Our bridal party partying down...friends on both of our sides had all met, but I wasn't sure how well they would 'mesh' the day of, they all got along great and the entire bridal party hung out the whole night.

4) Our band, Full House, they made our wedding...they played so many songs we love and sounded awesome...our friends are still talking about how they rocked out to Since U Been Gone.....

The Weather was really beautiful that day.

Also, having the opportunity to let my parents finally dance to their wedding song was really important to me.

We had an AMAZING day so I'm not quite sure where to begin...

1) The weather was beautiful, we had a sunny day and it was 50 degrees, not bad for November 26th.

2) The ceremony was simply perfect and seeing my husband waiting for me at the altar was by far the best moment I have ever experienced in my life it was just AMAZING.

3) The arrival of my flowers, I was SOOOOO VERY pleased with Flowers by Emil. My flowers were so beautiful, every arrangement was perfect and I couldn't have been happier.

3) Our DJ was UNBELIEVABLE!! They met all our expectations and EVERY guest was on the dance floor. Till this day we get comments of how great the music was and what a GREAT time they had!!

4) My DH and I sat back and looked around the room at one point during the night, we watched all our guests dancing and just simply having a good time. It was such a great feeling to know everyone was there to celebrate 'our' love and what made it even more special is that we did it all on our own.

Great idea, Leese! Everything at my wedding was great, really, but I honestly think the best thing (besides marrying my wonderful husband) was having an amazing bridal party. I know a lot of brides have issues with theirs and it makes me so sad, because mine was so supportive from day one. It really made me so happy to be standing with DH and the rabbi and looking over and seeing my best friends in the whole world looking at us and smiling and being so happy and proud. My friends mean the world to me and having them there made our ceremony even more special.
