Got an invite to a wedding yesterday ...

... and at the bottom, it said 'No boxed gifts please.'

Um ...

Did anyone else's invites say this? Just curious.

Re: Got an invite to a wedding yesterday ...

it should have just said 'Cash gifts only'

Yeah, I mean, at the risk of sounding judgmental ... I thought it was pretty ballsy.

RIGHT? I didn't want to just say that because I wondered if I was being over sensitive or something, but right???

I'd kind of applaud the person who brings a boxed gift....

or atleast wraps cash in a box...

But thats just me.

No joke, I shouldve wrote that on mine bc I had a few people show up with registry items and guess what? None of them ended up coming home with me... They vanished into thin air... Ill never know what happened to them!!!!!

Even I would give a boxed gift if the person specifically asked for none... WHO DOES THAT?

Maybe they meant don't bring boxes to the wedding itself, but even then, REALLY? Thats so rude.

That's tacky, IMO. I would send the biggest boxed gift EVER to her house before the wedding, since, you know, you can't bring them to the wedding.

I think that it is rude and tacky and would make the invite look weird to have that on there.
