great advenure ticket discount?

i keep seeing the buy one get one free advertisements but does anyone know how it works? I want to get DH tickets for his birthday but is the BOGO only good when you get them at the door?
I thought someone would know - i've never been there i'm scared of rides

i have to tell you that great adventure isn't that great. the last time we went (we live in Jersey) - we had a MISERABLE time. The line waits were insane & it was just too crowded.

A little bit farther is Dorney Park - which is WELL worth the money!!! They have a water park & regular theme park that has GREAT rides!!!

I agree. Unless you go on a weekday its a waste because of all the lines. You wait about an hour on a line for a 2 minute ride if that!

honestly the best time to do GA in jersey is on a random satu. morning in october.

if you do during the week in the summertime--you will totally regret it! DH and i went last summer around mid-july....we figured we'd do the buy 1 get 1 free deal with the coke cans on a wed. thinking it wouldn't be too bad---it took us more than an HOUR just waiting in line to PAY to get into the park! every single ride was a good 90-3 hr. wait. we were there alllllllll day and didn't even get on each ride we were so exhausted.

this year it has to be worse -- cause mcdonald's has a coupone for 24.99 a ticket -- plus i think you can combine it with the buy 1 get 1

OK this is jmo but i personally dont like G A, i live in NJ and i think the place sometimes *****, there kinda expensive and ALWAYS crowded, last time we where there someone told us we had to wait 1hour 15 minutes for a ride,


i honestly like dorney park and it just a little bit further, i was actaully just there last tuesday the place is nice and clean and the price is $39.99 for both the water park and the these park

to where at G A the have 2 seperate admission fees for both parks, last tuiesday we didnt wait no more then 15 minutes in a line,and the water park is awesome

i couldnt agree more. we went to 6 flags last summer and we asked why we went back again. a lot of the rides were closed....who knows why. but dorney is bit cleaner too. we loved dorney we were there a few years ago.

maybe I'll skip the GA idea.
it is really aggrivating to stand in an hour line for a 2 minute ride.
But now i need another idea & his bday is tues i'll think of something
