Thanks for thinking of us Amy! We are okay here... Thankfully the fires aren't affecting our area as of now. We are kind of in the middle, with fires north, south, and east of us -- but luckily none that are really causing any damage to the area where we live.

The air quality is very poor though... it's filled with smoke and ash, so we've been keeping the windows shut and the fans on (no AC here!) and just hoping for the best! I work as a speech-language pathologist in the schools here, and all of the San Diego county schools are closed for the rest of the week. We were open on Monday, but the air quality was terrible and a lot of the kids were walking around with masks on just to be safe. I'm hoping that all of my students and co-workers are okay... I have heard that some have been evacuated.

Again, I really appreciate you thinking of us! As of now we are perfectly fine, thank God!

so glad you guys are ok. i was thinking of you!!! we've had some friends who had to evacuate and my inlaws were preparing to, but luckily, they've been outside of the evac area so far!! the whole situation just s*cks!
