Happy New Year Ladies! Back from Saint Lucia with pictures
I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year
Things have been a little crazy since we returned Sunday night, getting back into the swing of things with work and all. I miss warm weather! I was telling DH in JFK that it was 87 degrees that morning, only to return to 20 degree weather! waahh!
Here are a few photos from our vay-cay. We stayed at the Sandals Regency La Toc, which is simply beautiful. Our suite was up on the Sunset Bluff with incredible views -- the pool up there was quieter and less crowded than the pool down in the main part of the hotel (that area was beautiful too, just reminded me a little bit too much of spring break!) Oh and New Year's Eve was insane... it reminded me of a super fabulous wedding, they had food stations set up everywhere, candle lit tables with oysters and shrimp and oh my goodness a HUGE fireworks display on the beach! Honestly it was so long I almost got bored!
We had dinner at the other two resorts as well- Barefoot By the Sea at the Grande and The Pier at the Halcyon. Both resorts were really pretty as well. Girls who are going on their honeymoon to St. Lucia,y ou have nothing to worry about! Oh except be prepared it takes a LONG time to get there. We were at immigration and customs at the airport for 2 1/2 hrs when we arrived.... I guess other planes had just landed too and the lines were ridiculous. And the drive was long too, but so worth it once we checked in! The island is really poor which made me kinda sad, but I've heard in comparison to other islands it's not so bad. The people who live there are some of the nicest I've ever met -- so friendly, and so willing to help you with anything.
