I was hanging out with one of my single girlfriends last night and she said that i am exactly the same and i haven't changed at all since getting married.
I think she was expecting me to change or drop off the face of the earth or something
Just wondering if anyone had similar conversations with friends about changing

Nope cause marriage shouldn't change you it should only enchance you. If anything. None of my friends would think this of me... I'm true to me. Always been. He's just an addition to my fabulousness now

Nope. I dont think marriage has changed a thing except now I live with someone thats it. It doesnt affect who I am.

It has but not the way you mentioned that i wont see people or go out anymore.
Although the change ive made started happening from when i was engaged. I am alot more responsible lol. Before i was engaged i didnt do well at saving money, i spent money like an idiot. As soon as i got engaged that all changed and im glad it did. I even surprised myself at how good i was at saving, and while i was engaged i convinced myself out of buying anything, i felt it wasnt important enough and had other things to save for. When dh used to tell my dad how great i am at saving and really watching what we spend money on, my dad didnt even believe it haha.
My outlook on certain things have changed. Now its not about spending money on pointless things, i didnt think about the future when it came to money, it was there to spend. Now i think that we need to save money for bills, for a home, for children in the future, a new car. And not just about money but just your outlook on the future is very different now.
Also my own actions i have to think about somebody else now and how it effects them. Even when we were engaged, if i quit my job before it wouldnt have effected DH as much as it does now. Well with payments for the wedding it would've lol. But now it does effect him and our future.
so it has changed me but for the better.

Omg me too! I cant believe it. I just keep puttin on the pounds. I actually ripped my skirt today and had to go home and change!!

im a bm in a wedding on september fifth. I dont know if im going to fit in the dress lol, i am gonna have to work out to at least fit into it

but to answer the original question, yes, i have changed, but only in positive ways. my world is no longer just me, but it's now 'us'. it's definitely made me much more responsible, especially with things like $$. my priorities have also changed, but that's bound to happen with any marriage.

I think marriage has changed me. DH and I moved in together right before our wedding.....so we adjusted to that. I discovered that I do enjoy being a 'wife' with him. I like to make him dinner when he gets home.
We used to go out a lot -- cause it was the only way we'd have 'alone' time since we both lived with our parnets. Now--we hang out at home alot and I love it. We still love hanging with friends and stuff on the wknds but I love coming home, making dinner and relaxing on the couch with DH.
My family says that marriage has 'calmed me down' a lot too....and I definitely agree.

Pretty much it has stayed the same. BUT now we arent just having a good time anymore. We are thinking about the things WE want and settings goals for the future and family instead of just looking forward to 'a marriage' I think that you should change somewhat when you are married b/c really in essence even if you live together before you get married the dynamic of a relationship is different after then it was before.
Has it changed me as a person, maybe a little~Dh takes precidence over anything else. If either one of us makes plans we make sure the other is either ok with or up for going out and seeing people. Dh does his own thing with his friends and I do my thing with my friends.....but we also have our 'together' time.

The only thing marriage has changed is my location...we moved to Philly.....Dh and I lived together for eons before we married so I was used to that dynamic. The only difference is now he gets to call me wife...and that feels awesome

i'm sure you will be fine and the dress will fit. But i know what you mean, i went to a wedding last weekend and everything in my closet was waayyyyyy too tight!!!
