Is it just me, or does anyone else get comments all the time like, 'oh you're happy now, but just wait a few years.' Honestly, every time DH and I are happy or hugging or kissing, some crabby married person proceeds to tell us how 'cute' we are and how we don't know it yet, but in a few years we'll hate each other and won't be able to stand being in the same room. If it were just one or two couples I'd think it was just because THEY are unhappy, but literally every married couple laughs at us and says 'you'll see.' It really pisses me off!

Re: Hating your spouse
I've had it happen to me too... when people ask how is married life, I always answer 'really good!' which is how I really feel. People look at me like I'm nuts and that I should be complaining about being married.

Re: Hating your spouse
Some people are so bitter with their own lives they feel they have to bring others down to make them feel better. Its very sad..

That's so strange, I was in work the other day and one old crabby woman said to me, 'How's married life, you don't hate him yet I bet.' What kind of thing to say to someone. I responded with, 'Actually, I love my husband and I don't intend on EVER hating him.'
