have you ever....

don't laugh at me... this is going to sound a little insane, probably because it is....

have you ever come home hungry to a house with no real food (that can be made quickly) and just ate random stuff but nothing tasted good?

I feel like my taste buds are broken right now. I got home a little while ago, DH is away for the night. I tried:

leftover rice... tasted like a$$
peanut butter... gross, tasted just so not right
sun dried tomatoes... no good
a string cheese.... yuck
chocolate... didnt do it for me

WTH? THESE ARE ALL THINGS I LOVE!!!

YES! It's usually that I just don't know what I'm in the mood for and until I get that one thing everything else is ehhh.

ETA: Like right now, DH found a box of chocolate chip cookie mix and asked if I could make them. I did and I'm eating one now but I'm not enjoying it all that much. Not that I'll stop eating it though.

yup! usually happens to me once a week when DH works the night shift and I dont cook dinner. I usually end up eating a bunch of random things and it usually involves pb&j lol

Absolutely! I do it all the time and then kick myself.. since its such a habit for me i try to not let myself get to that hungry poin!

yeah and on those days I order pizza i pick on everything at home and realize it taste no good and im still kinda hungry! so i order pizza lol or run over to my moms...who cooks liek 5 things everyday!!

yellow mustard
bbq sause
cheese

I have done that so many times. I will also eat the weirdest combination of foods too.

I recall one night having:
String Cheese
Chocolate Ice Cream
Left Over Chinese Food
& then Peanut Butter on an apple.

Looking back, I have no idea what I was thinking or why I didn't end up being sick all night.

Err... you sure you're not preggo? That was one of the first signs I had... things all tasted 'off' and dull.

Sounds like other non-preggos have had the same experience, though, but I figured I'd ask. Plus any time you have food issues, SOMEONE is supposed to ask if you're knocked up now that you're married.

i was thinking the same thing , but you did say your house had no substantial food in it! btw...string cheese is one of my favs at the moment...not sure why.

omg you ladies are so funny! i am definately NOT pregnant and I do this all the time, I ate pizza rolls and sugar wafers for lunch yesterday. And I commonly crave something, dont like the taste and still eat it.
Plus I've gained a lot of weight since the wedding, but people have told me that its common to gain weight in the beggining bc your trying to adjust to living together
