Hawaii honeymooners
Can you recommend any books that you found helpful in planning your honeymoon? Specifically we're going to Maui and kauai. Thanks so much.

Re: Hawaii honeymooners
We bought tons of books (We used Fodors alot) but wound up using a guide called '101 Fun Things to Do In Hawaii' more than anything and we picked that up for free in the airport. LOL!

Re: Hawaii honeymooners
The best book I found was the Dummies Guide to Hawaii- it was our bible in Hawaii!

The 'Blue Books' were our guides. There is one for each island. They are called the Ultimate Guide To ---Maui
The Big Island
Kauai
We know so many people who swore by them.

Re: Hawaii honeymooners
You definitely need the 'blue books'- Maui Revealed and Ultimate Kauai. We lived by those books and had an amazing time. Their recommendations are right on the money. Also, we wished someone would have told us how dirty you can get walking to waterfalls in the mud- some of the best sights to get to you can get pretty muddy! Ok, enough babbling- if you have any questions please feel free to send FM.Good luck,
michelle

Re: Hawaii honeymooners
We used the Ultimate Guide to Maui and Kauai. They are so popular that most people use them so when you think you are going to a cool spot not many know about eh.... think again
But overall they were good.
I know you didn't ask for this but I am going to give you a few tips...
Unless you are the adventurous hiking type don't waste your time with the Road to Hana in Maui. A lot of very muddy trails and you need a WHOLE day to do it.
The Hyatt Regency in Kauai was phenominal and the Four Seasons in Maui was really nice too.
If you are looking for authentic Hawaii stay in Kauai longer. JMO ... I like Kauai better.
Maui is fun but a lot more commercial. The Feast at Lele in Maui was amazing. If you are going to a Luau this is the show you want to see the food is good too!
