Help....dress needs to be cleaned..where???

My wedding was May 16 and my dress is still hanging in my old room at my parents house. Do I get it cleaned and boxed or do I have it sealed??? Does anyone have recommendations as to where I should go to have this done?? I'll go anywhere-considering I paid $3400 for my dress

Re: Help....dress needs to be cleaned..where???

I had mine cleaned and preserved a few months ago and my wedding was in Feb 2002! I used wedclean, quite a few of us on here used them. It was $100. They did a fantastic job.

Do they seal it?? It looks like they just clean it and box it. Did anyone seal theirs?

Mine was from wedclean also..they have a lifetime gurantee! I will probably use my dress to line a basssinet or for a first communion outfit..not exactly sure yet..but dont plan on keepin in the box forever.

I used Wed Clean too. I just got my gown back the other day. They did a great job. You get it in a nice presentation box. You can take the gown out too - it doesn't have to stay sealed in the box.

Re: Help....dress needs to be cleaned..where???

Why would you want it sealed? It's preserved against yellowing, if that's what you're worrying about, but you don't want it where you can't ever take it out. What would be the point?

I also used Wedclean, really liked their work, and my dress was HANDMADE by my mom.
