Thanks girls. I love that pink one with the flower but its BCBG which never fits me right for whatever reason.

I thought about getting a BM dress but I think its too late now PLUS I cant try it on in my side PLUS it pretty pricey if I add in the alterations.

Stef you need to get your ass in gear & get to shopping. Go to roosevelt field mall, nordstroms, lord & taylor etc.!

Stef, if you're considering bm dresses, davids' may be worth taking a look (just not the one in brooklyn due to their fleas problem). Back in the spring they had some really nice springy bm dresses in light colors and for a moment I almost wished to have picked a different dress/color for my bms b/c those were so pretty. Perhaps by now these pretty dresses are on their sale rack. And they had a lot of big sizes too (I actually had trouble finding the small sizes in the brooklyn location).

Also, have you looked at either Tristan or Barami? Sometimes they have nice trendy things. I also got a formal long gown at H&M in the winter time.

Jenn: I did go shopping last week. Went to all the big stores and they had nothing. All the fall stuff was in the stores last week. Hopefully I will find something when Im in San Fran.

Alina: Does Davids carry shorter dresses? From their website I only saw long, very bridemaidy dresses. I dont need a plus size..i need a regular size but a lot of the dresses out now dont really flatter my figure. (i.e. spagetti straps look pretty aweful on me, etc.)

I thought alot of David's BM dresses were cheap looking/feeling when I was there. Also I never saw shorter dresses.

I am not sure if they have shorter dresses, I forgot about that requirement for a second. I don't see anything shorter on the website, and I think the dresses that I liked were more on the longer end of things. There was one that was short on the front and longer on the bottom, but the rest I think were all longer.

Jenn: I went to Pallisades Center which has most if not all of the Roosvefelt field stores. I went to Jessica McClintock, Macys, BCBG, Ann Taylor, a few dept stores and a bunch of others I cant remember. Very frustrating.

Stef, if you want something local, there is a shop on 7th ave in park slope, its tiny, around 4th or 6th streets, but they sometimes have nice dresses and shoes too... Its North of the hospital, on the right side of the street if you're going towards flatbush, and it has shoes and jewelry displayed in the window. I dont think the dresses are cheap, but they're not completely outrageously expensive either.

Ok, this is really frustrating. I looked and tried on every white/pink/blue/ivory dress in San Fran and nothing was even a remote possibility!

I ended up buying a white pique jacket from Ann Taylor as my backup. Im not 100% loving it but it will do if I cant find anything else. If I do find something, I can return it.

The search continues....

Stef, I bought that jacket as well and I am returning it for the halter. Why didn't you get the halter with the matching skirt, that would be cute.

Stef, down here by me at the AT at SSP they have the pants, the skirt and the halter. You should check it out or on line. I wanted to wear it with hubby so we could both be in all white for our anniv, so I am going to return the jacket and get the halter b/c the jacket is too suity for me, I want Caribbean sexy, not wall street

I'm not crazy about the fabric, but it might look really cute on.

Stef, tristan is at 48th or 49th and 6th, one block up after gap. Their prices are closer to Ann Taylor, but they discount a lower % of their merchandise for sales... Their big sale is supposed to be in August.

Someday: Thanks..none of the JC stores Ive seen have that dress in my size. They have it online but I really want to try it on first.
