HELP, those who have your album already/NOW W/ AN UPDATE

Today, a lady I know was looking at my album and I noticed a drop fall, spit so we wiped it immediately w/a clean wash cloth but probem is it is small but it fell on a black part of the picture of craigs tux sleeve........ and it looks like a red dot???

I called a left a message for my photographer... to ask what can I do ??? Does anyone know??? arent the pics supposed to be treated somehow???

I am not to sure, but sometimes if you wait a bit the color will come back. Even though you wiped it some soaked in a bit. Not sure, but I had another picture that happened to and the next day it was fine. Let me know what the photographer said.

cooky- he called me last nite and he called the lab and called me again, he said it turned red b/c of the chemical spray that they use after they bind the book but he thinks he can touch it up for me to take the red away so I am going to bring it in this weekend

he said he was fairly confident the touch up would work the other alternative is to replace the pic and that would be 50.00

Ill let you know how it comes out after the touch up I may get it back that day or have to leave it till tues............

that is awful. is there anyway you can cover it so when people look at it this cannot happen again...I would not be happy.

Michele--unfortunately unless you bar people from talking when they look! it could happen - some people spit when they talk, first the guy at the place laughed then he said someone else told him that another bride spilled fruit punch or something on her album (WHY anyone would have drinks/food near their album, I don t know) And the pictures turned purple!

he said the touch up would do the trick and no one would really be able to tell unless they hold it up to the spot and study it so that is fine w/ me.

Water or anything hitting the pictures after the book is treated and bound is no good

The reason I want it touched up is b/c its obvious, it is a small dot but its a pic where Craig is shaking is dads hand and his tux is black and it looks like he has a Red cuff link b/c that is where it landed and even though we wiped it off immediately w/a clean cloth it turned red

Have you tried dabbing the spot with a black marker? I know its sounds pretty basic but if the spot is small enough it should work and will save you $50!

Stef- its only 50.00 if I want a new pic put in the book. He is going to paint/touch up for me for free, so I think, he didnt mention a cost for that. Id rather him do it then me but yes, that did cross my mind, but I didnt want to make it worse.

Hope the touch up works and I was goint to suggest what Stef said sometimes a black marker works. Good Luck let us know if the touch up worked.

did the color come back at all?

DH knocked our frame off the wall and a vase fell over with it and the picture was soaked...


I took it out of the frame and dabbed the water and let it airdry and its perfect again

UPDATE
I picked up the album today
it looks a lot better, I dont see the red and I dont think anyone will notice Unless I point it out
depending on how you look at it it can look a little blurred in that spot but the red is gone so I am happy, he did a good job touching it up
