Yes, I did say that. And I understand that its a trip for you girls, but its also a trip for us-hence why i always agree with the meet in the middle. Because some people have a long trip and some dont.

I understand that you feel left out, but if it was in suffolk would you be willing to make the trip? Its not being left out its not wanting to make the trip. Its a long trip I understand that-but its also a long trip for us too and it seems like those that are in QUeens or the area want to burn us for not wanting to make the trip but you dont want to either.

UM I Said NO such thing. In the threads talking about the GTG I repeatedly said I would take the LIRR but I needed someone to pick me up at the station. I posted it more than once; after posts by you, Heather, and others and no one paid it any mind ALTHOUGH posts BEFORE mine in the thread were quoted and answered. So yes. I WAS willing to meet halfway but doesn' seem that was the same feelign all around.

I know, its ***** and I just think its got confusing and no one knew what was going on...I think that is all it is. Everyone wants to go but its tough to do it.

Kath was ok with Play and since she was organizing it, thats why we all said YAY we can finally go. But then the drama started and the poor chick is stressed and its not fair to her.

Yes, it was not fair to her. We actually discussed this prior and said Nassau which is an in between since we have had Suffolk GTGs. It is too far to go to Queens and it is too expensive for many of us to do that.

I thought we had a number of people that had already agreed to do it in Queens, which was pretty nice because just about every other GTG has been in LI and since this was originally posted as a Bachelorette GTG (NOT IN ANY WAY in honor of me, but as a bachelorette type party for TWOTY it would make sense for some of the people in the bridal party to be there - Marie had already posted that she was willing to go to Play in Queens and me too).

If there are some other LIWers that are farther out and couldn't or didn't want to go all the way to Queens, then couldn't they just opt out of this one just like the NYCers and NJ brides that can't make it to Long Island opt out of the LI GTGs? I'm not sure how it's getting out of hand. There will be more GTG's and we can try for Nassau as a middle ground for those but remember that Nassau isn't even middle ground for the girls out in New Jersey, but they are willing to make it out to LI... so if we have one in Queens (which is not far at all from Western Nassau), and some girls are willing to go, then I say we go for it.

There is like no traffic coming FROM LI to NYC in the evening, whereas there is crazy traffic going towards LI in the evening - that's another reason I thought the Queens GTG on a Friday would work since the ladies wouldn't have to worry about getting stuck in an hour+ of traffic like the NY girls would if they were heading towards LI.

I vote we stick to what a few of us had agreed to, and do the next GTG somewhere else. I would personally love to go to the bachelorette GTG this was supposed to be, but if you guys would rather switch it to Nassau, then I'll just have to try to make the next one. I've had to drive to LI three times this week after work in rush hour traffic and I wouldn't be able to go again on Friday. I hope we can finalize a place soon so I can know my plans for Friday.

I agree, I opted out. And that is fine. Im not going to Queens but to me the issue is more that we (meaning Suffolk girls and yes there are some who are willing to go) would be going out of our way to meet you guys but you arent willing to go out of your way to meet us. That is more the issue that I have, we have had numerous GTGs in Nassau none of which you have attended so that makes me think if its not easy on you why attend-thats what it makes me think, not necessarily that that is really the issue. It may be and it may not be.

Im not coming. I didnt say change the location to make it easier on everyone. 9 suffolk, 1 nassau, 2 maybe 3 queens...who is really the one gettin the brunt of it?

If everyone wants to do Queens then go, I will be at the next one or the one after depending on if I want to or dont.

I don't know about any of the other NYC ladies, but for me I haven't been able to make the LI GTGs in the past due to my personal schedule, not so much location. Also, usually a location is chosen by a few girls and since I'm not from LI, I don't know where the places are (Western Nassau vs Eastern Nassau, etc). Weekends are rough for all the girls regardless of where they live because for most of us weekends are the only time we can get things done. So if there's a GTG at 3pm in LI and I have something to do that day, it's hard for me to drive up to an hour or more somewhere, have a few hours of fun, and then drive back. I'd LOVE to do it, go to a GTG and meet a lot of you girls, but it just hasn't happened that one of the GTG's has been planned where I could make it. Trust me, I've gone out to LI for soooo many things this past year with planning my wedding, so it's not about me not wanting to or being willing to go out to Nassau. But again, that's just my situation. I just thought it was great that there was finally a GTG that I could go to and that I'd be meeting some of you ladies!

Yeah, but we will plan something more comprehensive in Feb. I will suggest Joshua Tree or maybe do it up and go to Pascha. Or we could do a resturant like Ruby Foos or something.

I'm not sure if there's gonna be a dual GTG- one in Queens and one in Suffolk! As of right now a bunch r up for Suffolk!!

If its the case where Queens is cancelled then our next one DEF needs to be the city!!! Planned well in advance so we can all have a bangin good time!!!

I'm also up for the Passion Party SOON!! We can have it at my Mom's house in Suffolk (my apartment is tooo small) or we can try and work something out with the whole hotel pajama passion party in the city
