I nomally would not share an amount but I can not help. DH did our taxes and it changed so much from us getting married. He normally owes or maybe gets a hundred bucks. But this year we are getting back $13,000. I am finally gonna have furniture in my formal living room and dining room. I am soooooooooooooooo excited.

Congrats last year FH got back about 7K..he owns a house and now that i dont work i think he can claim me so im hoping to get much more back im keeping my fingers crossed lol

a lot will play into the number.. taxes withheld in your paycheck(maybe you withheld too much), owning a home(RE taxes and mortgage interest paid) and other itemized deductions that you probably as a married couple filing jointly benefit from versus filing a single return.. tax brackets.. and all that other IRS stuff..
