Honestly.

Does anyone pass judgement on someone who had a child out of wedlock anymore?

I'm not talking about High School, dropout pregnancy.

A woman, in her mid-twenties... finished college etc etc.

I'm amazed that people think that it's some kind of an INSULT...

But I do think to many people now days pass judgement on people without knowing all the circumstances of the situation.

I also think you are right. Sometimes things happen and people just need to deal with rather than sit back and turn up there nose.

As horrifying as it sounds YES there are people your age that DO pass judgement (on lots of things, not just unwed moms). Its not a particularly enlightened viewpoint, but there you go. I've always thought its a way to feel 'superior' i.e., well I'm a better person b/c I didn't do THAT.

I know where these thoughts are coming from ... and I wanted to send you some for having to put up with that circus.

Please don't let it get to you, its not worth it.

In my opinion, people who are intelligent and open minded (of any generation) do not judge based on the situation you are describing.
