Honeymoon in Fiji

Sorry to post on the newlyweds board as I am not married yet, but who better than newlywed brides to ask for advice on Honeymoons!!!

We are thinking about Fiji - Has anyone gone and if so can you please recommend a place to stay? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Congratulations to all of you!!!

We stayed at Qamea Resort. VERY private - only about 12 villas on the entire island. Beautiful snorkeling, amazing food and just simply relaxing. But, I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for lots to do - this place is purely for the couple looking to just sit still and zone out! No tvs, phones or gadgets - the entire island is run by generator. All we did was eat, drink & do what honeymooners do!

FM me if you want more details

Have you considered doing a cruise? It will give you more options of things to do and you'll get to see more places.

We also stayed at the Sheraton Fiji (one of the Starwood hotels) for the first 3 nights (because of the golf course). It was nice, and there was a lot of variety, but it was not anything like Qamea which was more of a private luxury resort. The Sheraton was more commercialized but definetely a nice place to hang out for a few days. From what I understand it's the nicest of the hotels on the main island of Fiji - Nadi. And, golfing was awesome. The smaller, more intimate resorts are mostly situated on the outer islands.
