we met in schooners on fire island - we were both playing 'wing man' for our friends (MOH and best man's cousin).
for the BMs toast, he told the story of how we met and it was cringeworthy but thats a whole different story...

well i met my fh through a friend i high school. i was 17 when we met and he was 20. we've been togehter since. couldnt be happier.

We met on a polish website. It wasn't a chat room.

It was like an address book. You left your name, email address and location.

We both came across it one day and left our names.

One day I was scrolling threw the names and emailed a bunch of guys that lived on LI and he wrote back and we had been writing for over a year before we met face to face and from that moment will be together forever.

We met at a mutual friend's Halloween party in 1996. We both were a little tipsy and he asked me for my phone number. I gave it to him, but told him he probably wouldn't remember meeting me or asking me for my phone number (okay, we were both a little more than tipsy). Well,he called me the next day and we had our first date the next night and a little less than eight years later we were married

We met on Lavalife.com. That was the last place I'd ever thought I'd meet my DH! So happy I did though!

Geez, we met in such a dorky way compared to everyone else.

We met at our church youth group. I was a singer, and he was the drummer. We'll be together 10 years this coming November.

That's not dorky. That's how FH and I met. On a church retreat, I was in the choir and he asked me to go.

DH and I are another online success story

We were both on Yahoo Personals for only a month. I came up as one of his 'matches' (even though on paper, we had nothing in common and nothing 'matched' up according to Yahoo's criteria). Basically it was a total glitch and I shouldn't have come up as his match -- but boy am I glad I did!

The internet Gods must have been playing matchmaker that day

We met at work - he was working in my building and came in to visit his aunt - which is my boss - so eventually - like a year went by - we finally got together - but I knew we would.

DH took an acting class with my exboyfriend the year before I joined him at college. One day he sat down to lunch with us. I thought he was a TOTAL jerk.

He was friends with some other friends of mine though, and I eventually learned that he wasn't a jerk. We started dating a year and a half after we met.

We went to the same grammar and high schools, knew him my whole life...we were friends, dating other people, and then he was single, and I found out he liked me...my current BF at that time was a total jerk, so I dumped him and went after my DH, that was almost 10 years ago!!!

We've been married 1 year!!

HS. Our junior year we were in practically every class together. Become good friends, then that summer started dating. Wow, that was sooo long ago!

I met him at a business function and then met up with him again at a conference in Denver. From there, we started a friendship and about 6 months later he asked me out on a date.

My ex-boyfriend introduced us! We were going to dinner and were checking out a menu outside a mexican restaurant, and DH was inside on a date with some floozy. He came outside to say hello to my ex- and I fell in love on the spot. 5 years later we started dating.

I met my DH when I told him off!

It was my freshman year of college and I was in a sorority he was in a frat. It was Greek Week. He was a judge at one of the events I was competing in and he disqualified me... even though I was right!
After that we joked around about him hating me and for wrongfully disqualifying me, and we became instant friends.
We were best friends for my 4 years of school and I knew all throughout that time (even though I was dating other people) he was the one for me!
We finally got together when I graduated- and the rest is history!

I met my DH on a blinddate in 2000. my friend at work and his wife set us up. my Dh and my friend's wife worked together at kmart in middle island. we met at starbuck coffee in selden and we hit off from there our friends left us after a hour and we talked all night . Now we are married for a year and a half already

We went to college together in Rhode Island..We were friends our Freshman and Sophomore year and than started dating 2nd semester Junior Year.
