How did you....

spend your Memorial day weekend? Do anything fun?

DH and I didn't do too much-we enjoyed doing NOTHING for once MY dad came over Sunday and today we went hiking in the reservation by our house. We'd never been there before and the workout..OYE! Its all up hill from the parking lot where the trails begin then it evens out.

What did everyone else do?

We had a bbq last night, and have been recooping all day

I did Nothing for the Past 3 days.
Well, I did the usual Cleaning & Laundry.
DH BBQ on Saturday & Sunday.
But otherwise we just Chilled out.

Great pictures. I'm such a wimp, if I saw a snake I'd run super fast in the other direction!

We went to a baseball game on Saturday, helped some friends install new cabinets in their kitchen yesterday, and today, I went to Macy's for another round of returning bad flatware (oh yes, it's still going on) and then we went out and played soccer and threw a Frisbee around. it was great! not ready for another week of work though, no matter how shortened it is.

(you are so pretty btw!!!!). we did a lot of running around this w/e, fri we had a surprise grad party in the city; sat went to my bro's in westchester to watch indianna jones (liked it a lot) and go to dave and busters; sun had breakfast with old hs friend then went to dh's friend's in syosett for poker/bbq; finally today went to oceanside for another bbq.

aww thank you. We saw Indiana ones with my Dad-we liked it though the critics were harsh. It was cheesey but its supposed to be. Good clean fun.

LOL yea my hubby is a nature guy. He was trying to be all Crocodile Hunter-made me break a stick into a V to cath hit by the head to pick it up-. Poor snake. We didnt hurt it but he;s into slimy things. HATES spiders though,

Nothing much:

Sat- Spent some time out at Skydive Long Island- Brought the hunny lunch and hung out with some old friends

Sun- Went to Ocean Beach Fire Island on Brians friends boat

Mon- We stayed in all day- showered and got right back in my pjs

not much. hung out with friends and family and a couple of BBQs.

Today was wasted at home as I am on a clear liquid diet for my surgery tomorrow. but on the bright side, i have 3 bags full of clothes for goodwill. cleaned out those closets!!!!

Sat - took the dogs to the park, helped DH cut down a tree in our backyard, fixed a bunch of things in the house I've been neglecting, grilled for dinner

Sun - took a ride to the North Fork, DH shaved our dogs, i mowed the lawn...very exciting times out here in the Hamptons...

Mon - went to our town's Memorial Day parade...which passed us in like 15 minutes...haha...and then caught up on some work

Saturday we rented a movie...'There Will Be Blood', we both hated it, it was so weird.

Sunday we went to church, MIL's house for dinner, then rented 'Walk Hard'.

Today we went to the beach in Hampton Bays, for about an hour and half, it was SO cold with the wind. After that we met his brother and fiance for drinks at Tiderunners by the Shinnecock Canal. Then for dinner went to MIL's for a BBQ.

I am very embarrassed to say-we went to the Boardy Barn My close friend is being deployed next month and this is what he wanted. We had a BBQ today.

Saturday, we got a sectional, ottoman, and recliner (early anniversary gift to DH) for our living room...I am so excited for my new stuff

On saturday it was my 25th birthday and my best friends 24th birthday so we actually made a weekend thing out of it- we went to hershey park- good times and not too crowded! Sunday we went to the pocono casino (mount airy lodge) and returned that night (after we got a flat tire of course!!!)

Sunday we had a late night BBQ at a friends house and party. Today we did nothing, our normal 'sunday' chores, cleaning, laundry etc.

i dont know HOW i ened up with two days off in the retail world of memorial day weekend - but i did!!

sat - had a nice afternoon & then headed out for the hubby's softball game (the hubby hit two homeruns! ) it was a fun night..lots of friends & some fam too...afterwards we went to s&bil's and spent some time with them & the new baby! i love my new neice to pieces!

sun - worked

mon(today) - b&sil came in with out neices & nephews..we took a trip into manhattan & spent the afternoon at the central park zoo...had dinner & then went for icecream...just a really nice day!

(back to work tomorrow!)

DH and I had one amazing weekend.

Fri- partied with some friends at night

Sat- had lunch at the Blue Water Grill in Union Square with DH and then we walked around the massive street fair going on right now on 6th ave

Sunday - we had lunch at Bodrum on the upper west side (DELISH!) and then went for a walk in Central park. It was so beautiful out! So many people relaxing in the park - it was gorgeous!
Then we walked to the lincoln center theater and saw 'What happens in Vegas' - HILLARIOUS movie!!!

Monday - we went to this amazing spa in Queens. We spent 6 incredibly relaxing hours there! It's called inspaworld. I heard about it a few months ago and have been wanting to go ever since. It was so relaxing. I'm taking my mom there in two weeks

No need to be ebarrassed. The best way to spend these days is with friends and family. My mom was in Mexico sothats why we dragged my dad out to NJ. I'm sure your friend really appreciated being able to spend time with you guys.
