DH and I met while we were both working at Staples in Hicksville. I was actually dating someone else at the time and he was the one that got me the job there. That was in July of 1998. In December of 1998, DH started working there. He was literally there like a week when I laid eyes on him. In the meantime though I was still dating the other guy. I remember turning to my friend that worked with me and telling her that I was going to marry him one day. Well three weeks later, I broke up with the other guy and went out with DH. That was 8 1/2 years ago and now we're married!

We work at the same college and were both required by our jobs to live in apartments on campus. I had seen him around in meetings and stuff, but we never really talked. Then, for about 4 weeks straight, we kept running into each other in the laundry room at 6am, when we'd get laundry done before students woke up! We started talking more then, but were both in long-distance relationships with other people. One weekend we realized we were both planning to attend an opera on campus, so we walked over together. From that point on, we kept going to campus shows together, getting dinner afterwards, and hanging out more and more. I realized I wanted to be with him when I was supossed to visit my BF one weekend, and told him I couldn't because I had to 'work' (ie, go watch DH play baseball and hang out with him instead!). He broke up with his GF, I broke up with my BF, and the rest is history!

I had always put in searches for men between the ages of 28 and 32, dark hair, any color eyes and at least 6 feet tall. I had exhausted all of the potential in that category, so I lowered my height requirement by two inches...and DH showed up.

He was such a JERK when I first met him and we had a tumultuous six weeks of dating before I dumped him. A few months later he called me up and asked me to a Yankee game. That started a six month friendship which ended with me drunkenly professing my love for him at the Mermaid Parade. He felt the same way. We've been together ever since.

I met DH when I was 16 and he was 17 and we worked at McDonald's together in Howard Beach...priceless!!!

We met at a restaurant my mom managed, when I first met him I apologized and told him that I would never remember who he was or his name

Next time I saw him I was upset and he came over and told me I was too pretty to cry...so I told him to go F*&$ himself

Then we became friends at a mutual friends 4th of july party and we have been together ever since
