it still startles me. He was on the phone the other day and referred to me as 'his wife'. It stopped me in my tracks, so to speak.

He has not used it yet--or not in a public setting anyway. He says it to me in private, but I suppose it's not quite the same.

Even weirder for me is hearing my new last name! We are both teachers, and started school this week. It is weird hearing my students call me by my new last name! I feel like it is really not me! ha.

It still gives me butterflies. Sometimes he'll randomly say 'I love you, my wife' and it always brings a huge smile to my face. ![]()

Yes, definitely! I think it's cute because he says it in this way that he emphasizes the wife part WAY too much
