Even though we've lived together for nearly a year, I still feel like we dont know how to spend our 'down time' together. He likes to spend his down time on the computer, watching fantasy football or the game on TV. i like to get out of the apartment, esp. on a nice day, and walk around the city together. Sometimes we are good about compromising but lately we have at least one fight every single weekend about how we spend our down time. I am big on 'quality time' and sometimes I feel like he just takes me being near him for granted - like he doesn't have to make plans with me because i'm always there...
I don't know. I just feel kind of upset. I'm realizing we fight. A lot. We make up and hug and do all that but it's not really what I envisioned and I'm only married a month and a half......

We sleep, eat, visit his parents, sometimes d chores or grocery shop (we hate being adults) and party...we don't want to grow up!

Depends on the weekend....for instance this weekend DH has gigs Friday night and a wedding gig on Saturday sooo that leaves Sunday for us! We try to do fun things like last weekend we went to a park and played minigolf but also the needed cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. I go to a lot of gigs too so we can spend time together and lots of resting and being lazy together! I try to make plans to get together with other couples and do fun stuff as much as possible, esp. when the weather is nice.

Weekends is all we have and just sunday DH works 6to 7 days a week, so we either would spend the day relaxing at home in the pool with a bbq, go fishing on the boat, go out east to like Claudios or other restaurants to eat outdoors for lunch or dinner go to PA and do antique shopping and now that the fall is coming we will be going out to the wineries and out east to the farms for fresh veggies. We really love US time and we like to take rides along ocean parkway and enjoy eachother and we have the best talks too on long drives!

Dh has been working Saturdays lately which really stinks especially cause I'm out of work right now and I look forward to spending time with him on the weekends... but we usually will go for bike rides, go to dinner (lots of times with his brother and my sil which is always fun), we try to avoid food shopping and that stuff since I've been able to do that on the weekdays... um, go to movies, stay in bed and relax, take the dog for walks, take drives out east, or head over to fire island for the day, hang w/ family.... we almost ALWAYS have some sort of family party (DH has a very big family who LOVE to throw parties for EVERY occasion imaginable---you sneeze, they have a party)lolol... just being together is great!

we dont spend time together on the weekends because we both work, so during other off times (like week nights, or weekend nights), we either do our own thing (because we like our alone time and we have other interests besides each other) or we'll have a 'date' time scheduled. just like when we were dating. it's nice because it gives us both a certain time to look forward to and really be 'into' for both of us, and it gives us our alone time that we both enjoy. it's hectic and we don't get a lot of time together, but we think it's more about the quality of time, then the quantity.

YES YES, that where we hang out over there, we love it and the roasted corn stand, yummy!!!

We are often guilty of sitting separately at our computers when we don't have plans that require us to leave the house. We spend a lot of the weekends seeing friends and family, or running errands together.

Hell... right now I am on the computer and she is watching TV in the Living Room.
But its not MY fault... she started watching TV on her own first.... GENERAL HOSPITAL episodes she taped!
I know she can't expect me to watch that crap with her. hahahaha.
