How long did it take you to get used to your married name?

I just wrote my new name to be and i don't know how i am gonna get used to it! LOL

I'm pretty used to it. I'm very used to Lisa R..., but not at all comfortable with Mrs. R... (still thing of his mom when I hear that).

We have been married just over a month and last night was the first official function we went to at work. Getting to the party stunk because my car broke down....but once we were there it was awesome since their was a surprise band playing...Average White Band...they were awesome! I digress, sorry...anyway I was very wierded out because I kept having to say my husband and every time I heard our last name I turned to him as if it was someone calling him instead of me. By the end of the night, I think I finally got used to it.

My married name is VERY close to my maiden - both VERY Irish so it wasn't a big change for me. The only think I am not used to is being called Mrs. Makes me feel old, I guess!

I changed everything including my credit cards...when signing a receipt I sometimes start to write my old last name but then quickly catch myself and fix it. At work it is a little weird saying my new last name too. I just changed it on my email.

I'm pretty used to it cause I work in a school and hear Mrs. Nxxx all the time! Writing it is a little different though

I tell myslef THINK before I sign or else I sign my maiden name

It was a little weird at first, but now Im fine...well I better be by now

I'm still getting used to it - almost 9 months now I had very mixed feelings on taking it at first, but it's slowly growing on me

I'm used to it by now, but I feel wierd when I say my name since I went from a very simple Irish last name to little bit of a crazy Polish last name!

Also, on one of our wedding checks I signed my maiden name and then crossed it out and my dad;s cousin who wrote us the check thought that was very funny...like oops...that's not my name anymore.

I have not changed my name yet!!!! So I actually go by my Maiden name :)

It took me all of two seconds to get used to it. I never called DH's mom 'Mrs. OurLastName' so I don't think of her when I hear someone refer to me as 'Mrs.'

Oddly, I sometimes have to think twice to remember my maiden name. No joke.

very quickly b/c I like it much better than my old name and I couldnt wait to get rid of my old name

It took me a little while to get used to it. I hear it mostly here at work since there are to girls named Vicki. I do still have to think though when signing my name, I sometimes forget!

2 months later... still getting used to it!

I kept signing my maiden name for a while - I'm over that now but I am still not really used to my married name - (nine months later!)
