How often do you run your A/C?

Just curious. It seems like ours runs 24/7 when we are home. I dont really like A/C- when I lived alone, I didnt use it all that often. But DH is always hot, so we run it around the clock. I feel like our electricity bills are going to be astronomical this summer.

if dh is home, its on. He is always hot too, and I am always freezing!

Before I lived with DH only for about a half hour before bed until the morning.

NOW, forget it. All day long if we are home or if our dog is home. DH wants to leave it on all day so the apartment is cool when he gets home but we dont even have energy saver so NO WAY!

My DH thinks 75 degrees is sweltering and would run it from April-October 24/7 if he could. We have about 3 fans in our bedroom all angled on him We put the a/c on at night for a few hours and then usually if I wake up in the night I turn it off I am cheap . It is never on during the day so I guess it is usually on about 2-7 hours a day.

ITA. I hate it on all the time. I am sleeping with long pants and a blanket and it's JULY!!!!

my dh runs our central air all the time, plus he put the ceiling fan on the bedroom too, i feel like i live in the artic, i turn to turn it down when i go to work so our bill isnt extremly high and dh comes home from work telling me 75 is way to hot to keep the house. if it was up to him he would keep our house at 68 all the time

The central A/C in our house runs ALL DAY LONG

We leave our CAC on all year round only because I live in FL and if I didnt have it on I would just die.

I can relate. DH IS ALWAYS HOT!! I have to tell him constantly to turn it off. He has it on when its not even that hot.. I understand if its 90 degrees..but cmon. Im def. afraid of this mths electric bill

I use it more when DH is home. I dont like to use it too much cause it messes up my nose.

We have central air too...we run it in the evening at 75 (sometimes cooler if we are hot) and it goes up to 78-80 during the day when we arent home. I am confortable in this temperature...anything cooler I'd be frozen!

when we get home til when i leave in the morning, so about 12 hours or so...

At night and whenever I am home. One of my medications makes me very sensitive to light and heat

DH & I work from home so the A/C is on 24/7. We have 4 a/c's in our place, so I alternate which is on, so the same a/c isn't on all of the time and doing that keeps the place pretty comfortable. I also keep them on low and that also helps to keep it cool.

We run our 2 Ac's all the time !!
