Schools within Huntington Township are: (& in order of best-least best)

Harborfields-- Better school
Northport--Better school
John glenn
Huntington--where we live this is our school, it's not a HORRIBLE school but it's not the best either.
Whitman

am thinking Commack school is.. I am not sure if that is township of Smithtown

Anyway - that is a good school - Rated 1 a couple years back.. I am not sure if anymore.
When I graduated Northport was 1.

Whitman is a very good school (South Huntington area) My hubby and a few friends went there, and they all said they had a good experience.

Half Hollow Hills East and West are in Huntington. Cold Spring Harbor straddles the border b/w Huntington and Oyster Bay.

Commack is another one that straddles a town border b/w Huntington and Smithtown.

Agree with Devon's ranking.

Each school is different though. The two HHH are good schools (have lots of offerings at the HS level) but they are much larger than the other districts. Just as Huntington and South Huntington (Whitman) are much larger than Harborfields or Elwood (John Glenn).
