I am a Wife...

This is a weird post.. but I feel very wife like!! LOL.. I don't know if this makes sense, but I feel like a wife all of a sudden.

DH is working 2 jobs and I work one. I mad a new years resolution to cook more at home and really make an effort to do more instead of working a second job, that we don't necessarily need me to do right now. So I have my 40 hours a week at work and have been taken care of household things, like cooking and cleaning and managing things like insurance and paper work.

It is nice because DH really appreciates it and I am so far enjoying it!

I am feeling like a wife also I think it takes a couple months to set in....so I know exactly what you mean....

I know exactly what you mean!! Tuesday's DH works long days and I knew I would work late because I was taking off today so I was a nice wife and made dinner in the AM before I went to work!! DH was so happy and I got the most appreciative TY, it felt good!!

haha i hear ya!! i'm slacking on the cooking aspect but cleaning and making sure things are organized in the house i got down! lol

I can't say all my meals are fabulous.. but I am doing well with preparing and making receipes from books and from on here.

its weird but i used to always see my friends during the week and dh on weekends- and now I dont like to go out during the week- well as much anyhow- I like coming home & cooking him dinner & if I'm not home, I always leave him a meal in the slow cooker

Awww that was good of you!!

Omg I totally feel the same! I made the same resolution and am finding that I love to cook! Dh is thrilled to! It is a tad hard because I work out every night but I am still trying to fit in cooking a few times a week!

As far as cleaning - I am trying to get better at that! I just feel there is never time!

I am the same way...I never really cooked before but now that we live together I have to and well I kinda like it. Especially when I make a good meal and DH is like omg thank you!!

But it is hard to find time. I work 40 hrs a week and go to school 3 nights a week till 8:30 it stinks because I can't make dinner those nights. And forget about the gym I haven't been since school started 2 weeks ago because the only days I can go is Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun and on the weekends I want to spend my time with DH doing things. Plus our apt is still not completely done (carpeting.painting.rearranging etc.) so I can't really cook BIG meals yet. But I love having that feeling of being his wife.

I feel the same way. I do all the cooking, most of the cleaning and shopping. I let DH take care of the bills

I really felt like a wife this weekend when i was talking to my mom and aunt about household stuff.... it was so strange talking about all our 'wife' responsibilities...... I LOVED IT!!!!
