I got my dress back from Wedclean..

I had told franksbride and anyone else who is interested that Id post about preserving my dress as soon as I got it back, It came today, and they did a beautiful job! I really beat up my dress and they saved every stain. You order online, they send you a box to pack everything up in, they send you an email when they receive your dress and when its on its way back to you. It looks great..so if anyone is interested, its wedclean.com, they have alifetime guarantee and its 100 for the dress, and I also had the veil and purse preserved and that was 10 each additional item.

I did this as well and LOVED the results. I had many stains at the bottom of my dress and even let it go a few months and they got most out. They even put a note on it saying we tried our hardest but we didn't want to ruin the fabric but really all the stains came out. Glad you were happy with them as well.

Re: I got my dress back from Wedclean..

i still haven't had my gown cleaned & it's been 5 1/2 months!! i'm so afraid that it's going to be ruined...(i know...i'm nuts)

i just got off the phone with wedclean after asking him tons of questions & it seems to me that they know what they're doing in caring for gowns. i'm still going to research it a bit more to be sure...

aliciahelene--how much did you pay in total? he told me $99 + $10 handling.
did your gown have a lot of beads or crystals? did you open the box to inspect it when you received it back?

any other feedback would be appreciated!!!
thanks!

Yes, I think my total bill was around 130but I also had the veil and purse preserved, I did open it up and inspect it and they did a fabulous job, I really stained up my dress, and let it sit for over a month, they did a great job. it was quick service.
My gown had alot of beading and everything looks perfect on the gown. The only thing they couldnt fix was a small tear..but I knew that ahead of time, they arent seamstresses, just cleaners. Trust me, I really beat my dress up for one night and it looks great again.

I recently used Weclean too to clean my dress. My dress was sitting around for over 7 months before I sent it in. They did a great job and it was so convenient. It cost $99 plus $10 shipping. My dress had heavy beading on the bodice and it was silk dutchess satin with organza overlay.

In addition to cleaning, there was a small tear in the organza overlay on the waist area of my dress that I asked to to see if their seamstress could fix and to give me a price quote prior to doing it as well as a description of how they would fix it. They did just as I instructed and my dress looks fine and the cost of the repair was only $25. I highly recommend them.

Wedclean is unlike any other preservation since you can open the box once you get it back to inspect it and it won't damage the preservation.

You can take your dress out of the box?? It would be easy to get it back in?? I still ned to get my dress preserved!! I don't know if I should use wedclean, or take it to a cleaners for $110.

I have been putting it off too. Do they put your tiarra in there too or just the veil?

I called wedclean about the tiara and they said that they would just clean it off and put it in the box. He said their really isn't any preservation for the tiara so he would recommend just putting it in the box yourself when you get the dress. He recommended the veil though.

My dress was a little hard to get back in but not that hard. I meant that the preservation is kept in tact even if you open the box...

Wow! I read this one a week too late. I took my dress back to where I bought it and paid $170 for the dress and veil.

edited to say...Does anyone think it's kind of silly to preserve the dress. I really wasn't going to do it, I can't imagine my daughter(if I even have one) wearing my dress, but DH actually freaked out and said I really should keep it. So I did, the only thing I would think that I would use it for is to make a christening dress if we have a baby. Just sort of curious.

My veil is attached to my bunwrap. Do you ladies think I should send it to get preserved along with my dress, or do you think they won't preserve it cuz it's attached to my headpiece??

Thank you so much for posting.

I STILL have my dress hanging in my closet.. Shame on me! I was debating using them but I wasn't sure. Now I feel more confident about it.

Thanks again! I'm so happy your dress came out beautifully.
