I got my video and albums from Duet

I have to say, there are things wrong with them... I was a little disappointed. They're very nice, but I'm a little upset that I was never shown a proof of my album - some pics are grainy and out of focus and I could have added pics had I seen the layout (they say choose 60 pics I think, but you can actually give them more. I didn't know that) Also color is a little weird on some. I wish I had been told. Cropping is a little strange on others. Two pics are horizontal full page, so you have to turn the album to see them, I specifically said I didn't want that. One pic is in B&W, but I know it's supposed to be color.

I also was never asked for songs for my video. They don't even show our first kiss!! We're supposed to have the raw footage, but we haven't gotten it yet.

Also, I waited a very long time for them to do some enlargements, but I only got half of what I had ordered. Plus, they haven't given me my negs, raw footage or proofs used for the album yet.

In my mom's album, some pics were wrinkled and color is weird.

Don't get me wrong it's great to get them and they did a nice job, I'm just kind of picky.

I wouldn't call yourself picky if the color is off, the pics are grainy, and the layout is wrong!!! You PAID them to give you what you want....you have a right to get it and to complain about it!

Aww Farah, I'm bummed to hear your albums didn't turn out quite as nicely as you wanted them to. I know you were looking forward to seeing them , also .

I always thought it was weird that Nicole didn't ask for the songs for your video! She keeps telling me to have them ready for when we get our proofs picked out.

As you said, I'm VERY picky myself and I find fault with everything.. I think 1/2 the reason I haven't even BEGUN picking out my DUET proofs yet for the album is because I am worried that the album won't turn out that great .. I have no idea how they are going to lay it all out and since I'm not that creative I am entrusting them to work some magic

I've seen your proofs and they were SO beautiful, so I'm sure its still nice.. I know we are our own worst critics but still I'm sorry you are a bit disappointed!

OK let me shut up I'm writing a book on this thread!! LOL

ETA: the part that concerns me the most is the quality of the albums.. I'm really shocked that the pics are grainy and crooked and the like. I know its hard for you to deal with this while you are overseas, but I would complain to Nicole about it. For lack of a better word, that sux

That really sucks... I know you can't really just go to the office, but have you tried calling or emailing Nicole? I understand you maybe picky but there's no reason for the pictures to be grainy and/or wrinkled.

I still haven't gotten my proofs yet. First Nicole never called to tell me they were ready and she was just like 'I could come pick them up'. I was like that's a little hard since I live in Chicago What annoys me is that called and emailed her on two occassions to remind her that she would have to mail them to me.

Definitely go back and have them fixed. You paid them for the albums, and you are not happy with it.

I had the same issues with my photographer and we asked him to redo a few of the pics before he put them in the album. We were able to view ours before he bound them in.

It's not your fault they did shoddy work on the album and accepted pics that were grainy and off color for the album.

Oh No! I still have to pick out my albums and still haven't gotten my video from Duet yet. Now you got me worried.

I would talk to Nicole about your concerns and see if they will re do it.
