I never got my dress preserved.

Oh my goodness I know I know. Please somebody just direct me as to the best method. I know I must do it immediately. And please don't reprimand me. I feel super guilty. It's so so beautiful....

I'm even worse. I'll be married 2 years in November and it is still hanging in my mother's basement.

Here's a laugh for you...
I took my dress to be preserved right after I got married, but I left it at the cleaners for 18 months after it was ready!

Either have I....it's going to be almost 2 years

ETA: Many of the girls on here have used wedclean. Do a search..Sonicstef was one of them. THey had great experiences. I plan on sending it to wedclean...that is when ever I get off my butt and go do it!

I used wedclean and was pretty happy. It was a little scary sending my dress out and they were a bit late in getting back to me but all in all, very worht the cost. All of the alternatives wanted 2x-3x that.

My only suggestion is to get the extra insurance. That way if you dress is lost, at least you have a few thousand to console yourself with. (not that your dress will get lost, im just a pessimist!)

I used wedclean too. I had it sent to my parents, so I am not sure about it being late. I gave it a quick once over when it came back and it looked great, like they had gotten all of the stains out, etc. But I wasn't super anal about going over it with a fine tooth comb. The beading seemed totally intact. Overall, I was happy with them.

I JUST finished my album last Wednesday. Can you say procrastinator? Yes, I was married TWO years last Tuesday and finished my album on Wednesday!! We hope to have it before baby #2 arrives!!!!

I didnt preserve mine either- honestly I hope I dont get reemed out for saying this but you do not need to preserve it. My mother never did she just put it in a box with tissue paper around it and it stayed PERFECT ( for 29 years). I have heard from many people that the chemicals that they use to clean it - can cause it to turn yellow- things may have changed i dont know, but thats what i have heard. Im not planning on preserving it I just have it in the bag it came in at this point and will hopefully box it eventually

I'm too attached to it to give it away for cleaning. One of these days I will.........

To top it off, as part of my wedding present, someone is doing it FREE for me. The platinum box is all ready for me. But I have to bring it in first......

Mine too! In a bag in the closet and the bottom of it got so dirty I don't think they will ever get it clean! Wow feels good to confess

Mine is in my hope chest, and not perserved either Jenny. I plan on doing it very soon though. I am not really sure why I put it off. I guess other things came up.
I plan on using wed clean though.
