WOW! We are all slackers!!!! No WONDER I LOVE THIS SITE SO MUCH!!!!
Well here's my question then. What is the diff between wedclean and just taking it to an ordinary dry cleaner?

Re: I have a major confession.
I am hitting the year mark and haven't done so either. Honestly I am scared because the entire dress was detailed with tons of stuff on it. It is hanging in my mom's closet - she loves lookin gat it and I think she may be even more attached to it than I am. One day I'll get around to it....

I can happily say I completed this task. You really need to assign the task to someone. This way you will know it will get done. Thanks Mom!Now its in the box taking up room in my closet.

Re: I have a major confession.
My dress is in a bag in the closet of my guest bedroom. And I know I am a bad bride, as my SIL spilled coffee on the train after the reception (thank God for her it was not during it) so I really need to get it cleaned. My salon will do the cleaning and preserve it for $200, is that a fair price??

Re: I have a major confession.
To answer your question about teh difference between wedclean and a dry cleaner - I think many dry cleaners dont have much experience in cleaning really expensive material so I was afraid to send my dress to the corner places b/c silk and beading is pretty easy to ruin. There are speciality shops that specialize in wedding gowns and im sure they know what they are doing but they charge upwards of $300!
I think if you have a dry cleaner you really trust, its safe with them...but its going to cost you about the same as wedclean.
And as an added bonus wedclean sewed my straps back in place for free.
