Today is my last day. I am at work trying to gather my things, fill my boss in on things I was working on, etc. They blocked my email account though so I am trying to get that taken care of so I can do a few more things here. Insurance is gone as of end of day today but I am going to get some prescriptions filled today ... I have a 6 week severance package which isn't bad actually, and I can get unemployment at the same time .... so I am ok. I applied for a job yesterday and will kick the search into high gear tomorrow.
Thanks for the prayers girls ... if you can continue to pray I would appreciate it ... and if you know of anything in the communications field, please let me know! I would love to be a copy editor or editor, but anything in communications would be good .... TIA!

Jenn I am soo sorry!!! I will be thinking and praying for you. I hope you find another job quickly. I feel ya on the no insurance thing though--it *****. I am looking for jobs that are part time and offer health insurance, because although I can still work full time until August I will have to quick whatever job that is to start student teaching and then once again no health insurance unless DH is on the South Hampton police force by then ()
but anyway sorry for my saga....could you perhaps go on DH's health insurance for the time being?

Here are two ideas: perhaps think of applying to the non-profit world? There are jobs outthere, not always in communications, but for qualified individuals like you seem to be (its worth a try, not many people will take them becuase sometimes they pay less than the private world). However, many are also suffering with the economy, but its worth the try.
Also try to take job doing taxes, the companies provide the training and becuase even if it only lasts 4-5 months it provides an additional cution while you search for a permanent job.

i can't believe they did it so quickly...usually they give you more then a day's notice....and to shut your email/insurance really s*cks. hopefully over the next 6 weeks you'll find something....you guys will be okay....sending hugs!

Aww Jenn i'm sorry. I just saw this. With your attitude, personality and skills, you'll find something very quickly. they didn't give you any notice did they? I know a lot of companies don't but it sure would be nice so you don't forget anything. I have at least 4 bags of stuff here and i've only been here a month.
