I have been laid off.

Today is my last day. I am at work trying to gather my things, fill my boss in on things I was working on, etc. They blocked my email account though so I am trying to get that taken care of so I can do a few more things here. Insurance is gone as of end of day today but I am going to get some prescriptions filled today ... I have a 6 week severance package which isn't bad actually, and I can get unemployment at the same time .... so I am ok. I applied for a job yesterday and will kick the search into high gear tomorrow.

Thanks for the prayers girls ... if you can continue to pray I would appreciate it ... and if you know of anything in the communications field, please let me know! I would love to be a copy editor or editor, but anything in communications would be good .... TIA!

I am so sorry to hear this. Seeing all these posts about people being laid off just makes me so sick. I am glad that you at least have your severance. I know 6 weeks isn't a long time, but it's better than nothing right now. When I was on unemployment years ago, before the economy was the way it was now, it took me 3 months to find a job and I know how much that ******. I will keep you in my prayers, and I just pray that everyone here who has been laid off finds something quick!

So sorry to hear that you have been laid off, but on a positive note that is good for you to get you out of that nasty situation. That arse is going to have to be grouchy without an audience.

just to let you know - stop and shop pharmacy is filling ALL antibiotics for FREE until march 21st... this should help your no insurance issue in case you need to get something like that filled!!

Iam so very sorry to hear this!! I hope you will find something soon. I cant believe how many of our girls and DH's are losing their jobs. I am feel for you. My DH lost his and we are struggling everyday. Its hard supporting both of us and it has come down to using our wedding money. This really S*cks right now. I dont think i will ever afford a house. I will pray for you!!

use craigslist.com monster.com, newspaper ads...and take ur time updating your resume and sending them all out.. good luck to you..

Most places end your plan the day you leave.

Just try and stay positive and reserach all your options. You will find something!
