So sorry to hear that and I'm glad you're ok. This happen to me like 2 weeks ago on the train too, it was so scary and I'm so glad so many people helped me. It was definitely my bp and from now on I carry a little bag of salt in my bag but I've been so nervous on the train lately thinking it will happen again.

Re: I passed out
i know should have.. but the hospitals in downtown and notorious for not looking at patients that walk in rather than in an ambulance..
it's weird.. last month I was helping a man who fell sick on the train.. and i was like o god, how terrible.. and lo and behold i pass out..

Re: I passed out
That is scary but I am happy that you are ok and that people helped you. Definitely contact your doctor and let him/her know. This happened to me a couple of years ago, and it was bc I was rushing/running up the stairs to catch a train and it was really hot in the train so I guess my BP didnt appreciate that. If you go to the hospital by Pace they should see you without a problem (if you work in the financial district). I always went there in case I needed immediate attention. Do you take vitamins?

Re: I passed out
That has happened to me twice on the train. I never eat before I leave for work but I am always running for the train & when I finally get on, my body feels overheated. I try to carry a bottle of water with me now & I keep emergency almonds in my bag & most importantly give myself time. (almonds only b/c they come in small packaging & it fits easily)
The first time I ever passed out, I was told my blood sugar dropped but I haven't been to the dr recently about this.

what scares me is that I do eat in the mornings and take vitamins everyday and still happened to me, but i do remember feeling overheated since the train was packed and i was wearing a sweater...I always pray that I'm not diabetic too. I had blood work done last week I'm getting the results tomorrow, will it show up if something is wrong(like diabetes, Thyroid)???

Re: I passed out
Definitely make an appointment to see your doctor and have some tests run like at least your bloodwork. Without an actual examination and tests, you cannot be absolutely sure what caused it, so it's better safe than sorry!!!
