soooo Miller threw up this morning.... once when i came home from work (around 330) and i just found more throw up in the office that looks to be from earlier today as well
last night i noticed his poop was diarrhea like... and i also noticed that today when he pooped before
should i take him to the vet? he's not lethargic or anything... pretty much acting normal
TIA
**UPDATE**
thanks to everyone who gave me advice!!!
Miller did not throw up again and i had him drinking lots of water.... he acted VERY normal throughout the night and has been ever since i woke up.... he hasnt pooped yet this morning - so im not sure what his poops look like...but he did eat and drink about a half hour ago so thats good!
i have to go out for a few hours so he will be alone but he seems better today so i will just have DH check on him when he gets home around 1
thanks again!!
*UPDATE #2*
so i came home from the dentist and i dont see any more watery poops, but he did throw up again about an hour ago
i looked at his throw up this time and there was some hair in it so i took away his food and gave him some OTC gel for hairballs... if he is still throwing up tomorrow, i think i should def take him to the vet - what does everyone else think?
he is still acting the same - no changes there and im trying to make sure he drinks a lot still
my poor baby

He could just have a little virus. If he still has diarrhea tomorrow (b/c cats vomit often, so thats not a huge deal) then I'd take him just to make sure he isn't too dehydrated.

Is there fur in the vomit or is it all food? (Is Miller a longhaired cat?) Both my kitties have long hair and they throw up hairballs semi-frequently It's normal for longhair cats and even shorthair cats to throw up hairballs. Sometimes they throw up after they've nom'ed on a houseplant or found a rubber band (??!!) too. for Miller to get better fast!!!

i didnt really look that much at his throw up....he is short haired tho
i've been making sure he is drinking a lot so he doesnt get dehydrated and he started playing with DH's shoelaces before so that was a good sign.... if he still has watery poops tomorrow i will take him to the vet!!

He could just have a little bug. My cat has gone through episodes like that. It could be because of hairballs. She never really has problems with hairballs but when she does it makes her throw up. Just see how his poop is tomorrow.

FYI if you're super concerned, there is a 24 hour vet on Sunrise Highway in bayshore, right by 231, and they're not super expensive. I took Mima there once b/c she was having an asthma attack and it was $95 for the visit. A lot, but you'd think they'd charge more for an all night place.

Re: i think my cat may be sick... *UPDATE #2*
it could be hair - this happened to my cat once (started throwing up blood b/c the hair had irritated her throat - plus she has a sensitive stomach to begin with). try adding some olive oil to her food and/or feeding her tuna packaged in oil. it helps the hair move through the digestive system. worked like a charm for us!

I would take him to the vet. It sounds like a hairball but just to make sure...I also give my cats hairball prevention treats and it's helped (my cats are long-haired lol). Good luck...poor kitty!!!!

Sounds like a blockage. I am no vet but from frantic drives to the vets many of x with the same issues , I have learned to stay calm.
If the cat is totally not eating that is a problem. That hairball remedy works wonders.
Also do think about your food and if you did change it. Do you have plants in the house by any chance?
ETA - the poop would be watery or diarrhea like if the cat has a block from hair. What happens is the cat cannot go normal - like constipation and the bile still wants to get out so it goes around the block and turns to liquid. Make sense?
I forgot to tell you give the cat about abit less than inch long of the hairball remedy twice a day. Once in the am , the other in the night. Stay away from crunchies until the cat starts to not throw up anymore and have a real normal .. movement
