If anything went wrong on your wedding day, did you complain to the vendor afterwards?

Original post by AllJoy

I was really dissapointed in my florist. I had the most faith in them. They screwed up everything. I gave them pics twice and went over everything several times. My boquet also turned brown in a 1/2 hour and several flowers fell off. The FG boquets did the same. I already left a voicemail complaining before my honeymoon. I'm wondering if I should call and speak directly with the owner or send a letter. Did any of you complain? If so, what was the result?

I was upset that my photographer showed up 20 minutes late to the ceremony so missed my father giving me away and the first 2 readings for my mass. I was going to say something, but there was nothing that could be done about it at that point.
Our album came out wonderful so it wasn't so bad.

I also was very dissatisfied with my videographer but that I felt was my own fault because we knew he was going to be a let down, but felt that we should have given him a chance.

no- minor things happened (like delivering my aisle runner to the wrong place) but I didnt really care at that point

The vendors I would have complained to would do notta about it.

I feel that they all knew I am on LIW, they all knew I would be writing a review...therefore I feel it served it purpose. They couldnt change what had already put a sour taste in my mouth as far as they are concerned. They all know who they are-trust me

HOWEVER Paradise Bridals-you bet your AZZ they fixed the situation, not completely to my liking but I got more then expected. Thanks to my planner

so many things went wrong, but the only vendor I complained to was After Hours! They sent my ring bearer, who is 3 years old, a mans size small vest and tie! We had to go out the day before the wedding and buy him a children's vest and tie. I wanted my money back being that I incurred the cost of another vest and tie!

After Hours was horrible for us too and we complained and got nothing. The Best Man had to go back 3 times until they got the right tux...only to realize the day of the wedding that the vest was too small. When the photographer told the guys to take their jackets off for some pics...we were laughing.

1. Men's Warehouse gave some guys white shirts and other guys ivory shirts even though they were ALL suppose to get ivory... Luckily the best man rocks and he went back (even though he has a 3 hour drive ahead of him) to make sure the shirt was correct.

2. My DJ was suppose to invite the rest of the reception to join us after 1 minutes into our first dance...which never happened we ended up dancing the whole thing by ourselves.

Didn't complain about either thing, because it wasn't a big deal, but had it been something big I would have totally done so.

I was very upset with my florist, since the color of the bo-k's ended up being wrong. The BM dresses were wine colored and the roses were supposed to match. I felt pretty confident that the florist knew what he was doing. Well, I found out I shouldn't have had so much faith in him since the flowers ended up being bright freaking red and completely clashing with the BM dresses. I was so mad when I saw them that I actually called the florist right then and there. I thought he might be able to do something about it since there was still 2 hours til the cermony. Well, not only did he say that there was nothing he could do, but he acted like it was my fault, saying that he only orders the flowers that the bride asks for. Why the **** would I order red flowers to go with wine dresses???? I was so upset and frustrated that I ended up yelling at him(which is very unlike me, but I was just that upset). And I was practically in tears during our pre-ceremony pics. I know something like flowers is a pretty silly thing to get so upset about , but at the moment, after months and months of planning, and all the $$$, it really bothered me. I did complain to the the manager after the wedding, who told me that he would have the florist call me. 2 months later, no call.

I didnt realize it until we got to our hotel room that our DJ didnt play the hora (jewish circle dance). I was really really pissed. It was on our playlist of course, and i think a whole bunch of other songs I put on there weren't played either but i'll wait till the video to verify that.

You get so caught up in the wedding, who sits down to check off the songs on the list? I left a message for our DJ (Bravura) for them to please call me back this was after we got home from the honeymoon...never got a return call. How unprofessional. They know i'm probably calling to complain, but what if i wasnt? What if i was trying to book them for another event? anyway its over so what can I do. Otherwise they did a decent job (but I remember hearing hip hop when I told them no hip hop arrrgghhh).

As an aside, everyone on this post who is complaining about their florist, damn, you know, you spend so much f*** $$$ for that, PLUS ALL THE MEETING TIME!!!! You'd think they'd get their s*** in order! My florist messed up something too, and before i signed for the delivery I made the guy go back and get what was missing from my centerpiece (the florist was down the road from the hall). I still wasnt crazy about what they did but what the hell. I threw my hands up at that point
