If I had to do it over again, I would not have spent money on....

????????

Was there anything after you bought it that you were like, uggh that's a waste, no one really noticed, etc. Whether it was the 4 tiara's you bought before finally deciding to keep it, chair covers, spending extra $$ on a cake, jewlery, reducing the guestlist, table cameras etc please list it.

This might be able to help others figure out where to cut back if our budget is kind of tight

So, what did you find you spend money, or even tremendous time on that in reflection maybe wasn't really worth it??

The as$holes from DH's husband who never showed up (we counted 11+) and never bothered to tell us why afterwards (still no call to this day)...hi d!cks, we paid for you! I wanted to invite friends from work and didn't because it was 'all family'...well, family no shows stink!

Oh and the table cameras...it was way too dark in my room (my preference) and people clearly don't know how to read and pressing a flash button was obviously a big deal for them...so no pics.

Boy, am I bitter!

OK - off my soap box!

hrm. hmmm.

shoes. I was barefoot all night, like I wanted to be, but my mother INSISTED I have shoes. They were only $50 but it's the point dammit

everything else was well worth it. I made a great deal of stuff myself, so I saved anyway and I hunted for the best deals. I even bought a second wedding dress and saved because it was $200 cheaper than the first and they gave me a full refund on the first gown (score!)

So, overall....I did pretty well!

I probably would've thought things through a little bit before buying supplies for my DIY. I came up with MUCH more than I needed, and now I have boxes upon boxes of votive candles.

That's really it - the money I spent was well spent.

i would have gone with my gut about the dress size. the store had me order a 16 which cost me $250 extra for the size (a 14 would not have.) i KNEW i was going to slim down, and i did and had to pay $180 in ADDITIONAL alterations because the dress had to be taken in so much SO if i had listened to my gut (i was not trying to fit a certain size-i didn't care about the number) i would have saved about $400...hate thinking about it-and the top wouldn't have slipped down so much...oh well....it ended up fine.

I would have gotten a different limo company - not necessarily cheaper, just one that would have given us a working car.

other than that - there are little things that didn't go as planned, but nothing terrible....and none of them really cost all that much money anyway and I liked knowing all of the little details we carefully planned

I was generally happy with all my vendors, but I think I could have done without my wedding corrdinator. My hall did such a wonderful job with the matre'd and assistant that I feel it was wasted money.

I also regret spending money to get my girls's hair done.

But, everything else was worth it! We pretty much cut corners with things, but we spent the money where we wanted it, like on video and pictures! I loved my photographers and video guy! I also loved Oksana and Jen the Hair Genie! Awesome!

I think I am the only person to say that the chocolate fountain would not have been missed. I wish I substituted the chocolate fountain for the seafood bar.

I think the only thing I bought which I didn't get good use of was my gloves! It ended up being beastially hot on my wedding day, so I couldn't even bare to think of wearing them out of the house. I had bought them on ebay, though, so I think they cost less than $20.

Nothing- I have no regrets for what I spent. It was all worth it.
