One person called the night before my wedding just before I went to bed to tell me she wasn't coming; 2 others just didn't show up because their power went out.

They missed one hell of a PARTY!!!!!!!! Suckks for them.

This happened to us with 4 people but because they were the people that i knew to eb @hoels going in, and I only invited becasue family insisted, I dont see the need to talk to any of them. Not like they ever looked for my in my 27 years of life anyway.

Hypothetically..it would depend on who it is. if uts a good friend and they had a justifiable reason and they manned up to it, I'd let it go because life is too short. But if they NEVER brought it up and we were close enough our paths would cross...I'd have an issue with that and might cut close ties and keep it distant.

One of the GM didnt show up to DH bach party, a get together with the BP the night before AND didnt show up to the wedding. He was mad and told DH that noone tells him what time to be somewhere... so why be in a BP??? He was a total jerk to DH telling him the night before 'I might not be able to make it to the wedding'. Thank a$$hole.

DH will never speak to him again. He gave us nothing but aggrevation leading up to the wedding.

ETA: this guy was the 1st to get measured, gave deposit and gave $ for the BP, but never did anything.

A cousin of DH's did this to us. He and his wife just did not show up, which I have come to find out is a common occurrance at any family function for these two If they wake up in the morning and look at each other the wrong way, then that's it for the day.

That just so pissed me off at the wedding. How rude of them and they never offered up an apology or even send a lousy card.

I finally did get to meet them at a family function this summer, and after meeting them, was kind of glad that they did not show up. Not my kind of people. I was cordial towards them during the introductions, but did not go out of my way to be friendly or encourage conversation.
Yes, very biatchy of me, but then again, I could care less if I ever see them again.

one of the marines that was supposed to be in our sword detail never showed up, never called....finally DH got through to him and he said he was stuck in another state i dont really kno the guy but my husband still talks to him, if it was my friend, i wouldn't

we also had DH's aunt and 2 cousins not show...they called two days before the wedding after about a month and a half of headaches from them. The completely tortured me and then just never came. Neither of us will speak to them anymore.

I'm sure we had some people no-show. The only ones that stick in my mind are the ones who actually called to say why (it involved his son, ex-wife, some scheduling thing). I've got no problem with that. Someone else cancelled due to work. I think that's it. I can't even remember correctly, so I'm obviously not that bent out of shape. Our photographer sat down at one of the tables and took the empty seats, which I'm also ok with, since I feel that it meant everyone was very comfortable with them and they got better pics for it.
