No. Neither was so expensive that it was worth perserving.

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
Do people usually do everything?? That's new to me, I thought people usually give away the headpiece etc, I could see the headpiece tarnishing especially since the metal might not be pure silver, SS, Gold etc.
I have not done anything yet.

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
I don't want to give it away. I'm such a sap. lol. I would gladly lend it out though. My headpiece was a pretty penny...I'd love for someone else to be able to use it. Maybe my daughter some day!
Wedclean gives the option of preserving the veil and headpiece also, I'll ask them what that means to preserve the headpiece....

They probably perserve those cloth headpieces. I cant imagine they perserve jewelry too. And I dont think there is a sure proof way to perserved fake jewlery.
(and im not giving my headpiece away either - god knows what im going to do with it but i'll come up with something)

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
That's a good topic. What to do with your headpiece after the wedding?
Mine is about a gazillion swarovski crystals all clustered up, what do I do...turn it into a planter?

I agree with Stef. I dont want to give up my headpiece. only if someone wanted to borrow it, like my other sisiter, or my daughter

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
Ooh ooh I have ideas for it:
-Use it as a centerpiece at my next dinner party.
-Put a ramakin of onion dip in the middle of it on a potato chip platter.
-Wear it at my 30th birthday celebration
Come on ladies....give ideas for what to do with our headpieces!

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
I was considering wearing mine to church for easter but I gave mine to Liz as her something borrowed, she seem to love it more than me, I am not sentimental about it at all
Misty those ideas are funny

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
I did my hair close to how I did it for my wedding last Friday and I almost wished I had my headpiece to see how it looked, I almost was tempted to wear it to hubby's HS reunion last Friday, they would have looked at me like I have done lost my mind.
I saw a girl on the subway last year with a tiara on my GF and I laughed so hard

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
My headpiece was a comb so Im going to try to wear it at the BACK of my head for my Vegas renewal and maybe the next swanky New Years Eve party.
(its about 4 inches wide)

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
OMG Shamma could you imagine showing up to someone else's wedding in your own tiara. A LIW girl would never....
I have been thinking about having it taken apart and made into a kick ass crystal bracelet/necklace....but I think that would depress me.
Definitely wearing it for a vow renewal!!!

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
There is a headpiece designer that does that now, but the headpieces are like $2000 bucks and set in sterling silver. Sheesh. lol.

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
Do you have a close up of yours Misty?? What would they have done tho' if I had worn it, turn me back That is why sometimes I wish I had gotten a comb b/c then it can come off as a hair clip more so than a tiara. I might just get me a hair clip for when the mood strikes

Re: If you had your dress heirloomed..
This picture kinda stinks but....
And if they turned you back you could have gone all diva on them in your tiara.
There is a comb behind it but it also has headband of sorts
