Misty: Are you going to make it yourself or have it made? I think having it made into jewelry is a great idea but I would think a jeweler would want a lot of money for that b/c he isnt selling you the stones.

Shamma: I dare you to wear your wedding dress to someones wedding ! And dont forget to warn the photographer so he can get that startled look on the brides face! That would be hilarious!

This is actually the first time I've really considered it seriously. I still have to get the guts up to do it....I don't know if I can part with it like that! lol. I am a big sap!!

But, we do have a friend who is a fabulous jeweler (he did our rings and my e-ring) so I think he could do it for us. But then again..it's only crystals... Some are rhinestone looking set with backings, some are those true crystals...you know the diamondish shaped ones (I'm bad at terminology lol). Here's a little bit of a better pic (don't mind DH's cufflinks and watch tee hee). Could this really work?? I'm afraid of taking this sparkly regal looking tiara and turning it into cheapo looking jewelry.

If you have a jeweler friend, no harm in asking. I bet he could make something great!

And you could still pass it down to a daughter. I think that would be really awesome.

I'm preserving my dress, and my cathedral veil.

I'm keeping Shamma's headpiece, she said I can HAVE IT !!!! Shamma, you'll never get it back *insert evil laugh here*
I will wear it as often as I can, even if it's just walking around the house.
I LOVE IT !!!!!!!

Yes- everything is in the box together... they have the bust of my dress 'puffed' up so it looks like there's a ghost bride in it, and then the head piece and veil is above it in place- and my invitation is in it too!

my headpiece was made for me by my maid-of-honor by hand... it was TONS of swarovski crystals on it and real pearls as well. It is so beautiful, I would NEVER give it away!

My dress looks like a ghost bride is in the box too! Very funny and sort of creepy.

Good idea about putting an invitation in there.
