If you've been in a bridal party, were you always consulted about a shower date for the bride before it was booked?

no, never.
but, in the bp's that I've been in, they were hosted by the MOB.
I know for my shower, my mother waited patiently for at least ONE member of the BP to say something about my shower.
Finally, she gave up and hosted and planned the entire thing by herself. I think some of her own friends helped her out with it.
I know that once my matron of honor got her invitation, she offered to do all of the shower decorations and favors. She also flew in from out of state to be there.

Um, yes and no. half yes, half no! There were 2 that I was VERY close to not attending, but the stars aligned JUST right.

I have been in four BPs and have always helped to chose the date and location.
I was only a MOH and I did ask the other girls when was a good date.
Well I should add that I had to because we had it in one of the BM's backyards.

When I was MOH, I couldn't imagine having not consulted with the other BMs on a date! That's crazy!

Only when I was MOH and planned them.
For one of them as a BM, I missed the shower entirely since it was a two hour drive away on a weeknight and the MOB gave me a day's notice!

When my Mother planned my shower she made sure ALL my BM's as well as my MIL could agree on a date.
As for personally being consulted when I was in a BP...Well, let's see...I've been in 6 weddings...And I think maybe I was consulted...NEVER...so much as TOLD.

Nope, but I know my MOH was involved in choosing my date though it was mostly planned by my MIL because my MOH lived out of town and we wanted her to be able to fly in for it. I actually voted for a weekend day for the BP I was in, but I guess I was outvoted because it was a weeknight.

I was not conulted at all for the 1 I wasa BM for.
I thought it was earlier than it was, b/c the bride told me it was going to be ion april & not a surprise, but then that changed & it was in May & a surprise.
After I got the invite, her sister emailed me about chipping in for a gift & followinf up on soemrsvp's of friends, but I totally would have helped more if I knew, but they were all in CT & her mom did most of it anyway.
I was a MOH once ( no BMs) & the bride wa sin CA & I didn't have a shower for her. In retrospect, I should have done something--even if it was just shipping gifts from the family.
