I'm back! **edited with pictures!!**

We got back from San Diego last night - we had the best time! The weather wasn't as warm as I was expecting, so my clothes were a bit too summery - that just meant going out and buying some new clothes!

We stayed at one of the nicest hotels I've ever seen - the Hotel Del Coronado, where Some Like it Hot was filmed, among a few other movies. The hotel was pricey but WELL worth it - the service was impeccable and food was delicious! Below is a pic - I'll post my own pics when I get them back later this week.

We easily became quite spoiled. Every afternoon after coming back from our daytime activity, we'd sit on the hotel's deck and have a few drinks. Then last night on the way home, I had a craving for a drink - it was only 3 in the afternoon
We visited the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, both of which were very interesting and fun to see! We also shopped and dined in La Jolla, Del Mar and a few other neighboring areas.

A highlight of the trip was meeting up with YABBOBAY and meeting her DH and friends for a few drinks! Erica - James and I had a great time that night! Hope Mexico was amazing. Email me when you get back

I have to admit I'm a bit sad to come back - CA is a beautiful state and everyone is so incredibly friendly. Within 5 mins of arriving back in NY I nearly got knocked down by some @$$ in baggage claim and ran over by a cab in the airport

Anyway, we had a wonderful time! I highly recommend our hotel if anyone is planning a trip to San Diego.

Erica is doing very well! Her and her DH, along with their dog have what sounds like a great apt, complete with swimming pool We saw them on Fri evening, and they were planning to head down to Mexico for a few days - I don't think she's back yet. I can't wait to hear about her trip though!

Suzanne - one word of advice: bring LAYERS of clothing!! I was freezing most of the trip, mainly b/c I packed so wrong. I figured SD was always warm - near 80 or so and I could not have been more wrong. The forecast last week was also colder than usual, and the highs were 60-70 during the day, but very breezy by the shores. Once the sun went down the temps really dropped, so I froze in capris and sandals. Pack a few things each of long sleeves, closed toe shoes, etc and you'll be good know matter what the weather!
Oh, and the sun is strong! I burned a little my first day and used SPF 17 - I'm pale though.

How much would you say per night was the hotel?? what is it close to??? If the temps are like this in the spring, what will it be like in December
