I'm back! **edited with pictures!!**

Original post by Teri

We got back from San Diego last night - we had the best time! The weather wasn't as warm as I was expecting, so my clothes were a bit too summery - that just meant going out and buying some new clothes!

We stayed at one of the nicest hotels I've ever seen - the Hotel Del Coronado, where Some Like it Hot was filmed, among a few other movies. The hotel was pricey but WELL worth it - the service was impeccable and food was delicious! Below is a pic - I'll post my own pics when I get them back later this week.

We easily became quite spoiled. Every afternoon after coming back from our daytime activity, we'd sit on the hotel's deck and have a few drinks. Then last night on the way home, I had a craving for a drink - it was only 3 in the afternoon
We visited the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, both of which were very interesting and fun to see! We also shopped and dined in La Jolla, Del Mar and a few other neighboring areas.

A highlight of the trip was meeting up with YABBOBAY and meeting her DH and friends for a few drinks! Erica - James and I had a great time that night! Hope Mexico was amazing. Email me when you get back

I have to admit I'm a bit sad to come back - CA is a beautiful state and everyone is so incredibly friendly. Within 5 mins of arriving back in NY I nearly got knocked down by some @$$ in baggage claim and ran over by a cab in the airport

Anyway, we had a wonderful time! I highly recommend our hotel if anyone is planning a trip to San Diego.

Suzanne - you're right! LOL

Shamma you always crack me up Thanks! Nope, James didn't go through the cave - what freaked me out was that it turned so you couldn't see down the entire hallway - too spooky for me! Plus, once you got down to the water you were trapped - there was no where else to go but back up the cave - no thank you!

Re: I'm back!

uh - scrapbooking! I am getting really behind with that - it's fun but a real slow process.

Shamma - I hear the pacific is always pretty chilly - the air temp was about 65 degrees or so last week, so I can't imagine how cold the water was. I was even too cold to even lay out in a bikini at the pool of my hotel! The breeze was just too cool I FROZE! So we sat in the outdoor jaquzzi instead

Re: I'm back!

Thanks everyone!!

My favorites are the ape and panda pics. At the panda area, I so wanted to crawl up next to the panda and loung with him - he looked so comfy!!!

Stef - Gao Gao was just sitting there looking bored - it was ironic because all over the place the Zoo is advertising the arrival of Gao Gao! Then, when you finally see him he's bored as all h@ll! LOL

Yes - there was so much to do at Balboa Park - we thought about checking out their other museums on the rainy day, but we got too lazy!
